Grandfather Julius Bange Find A Grave Memorial# 13339556
Carole,

Our grandfather, Julius Bange died on June 4, 1885 in Waterloo, Monroe County Illinois and was interred at the Waterloo City Cemetery the following day on June 5, 1885. I've attached an excerpt from the Monroe County Death records as evidence of the correct date of death etc.

Unfortunately Bev now deceased, who created the Memorial had apparently misread the year as 1883.

Maybe you could correct the date as you control his memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 13339556

My best to you,

_Chuck

Couple of Gravers
Theodore Church
Hi Carole,

Thanks for your message. The name of Theodore's father varies on different census records. I found his father listed as Robert on the 1910 US census for Spring Grove Township, Linn County, Iowa. The 1880 US census for Troy Mills, Linn, Iowa records his name as R.W. The 1885 Iowa census for Newton Township, Buchanan County records his name as Reuben. The 1900 US census records Theodore and Lucy residing in Liberty Township, Buchanan County, Iowa.

I was unable to find him on the 1870 US census, but would be happy to change the biography section to show his father's name as Reuben.

Thanks for the information, although I'm not quite sure what you're trying to point out, unless its the issue of the birth date. I know his death certificate says he was born in 1875 and that is clearly wrong.

Willis is listed as 10 years old in the 1870 census, and would not have even been alive if he had been born in 1875. And in 1880, he's listed as being born in 1860.

I do see where the Kornegay records show 1858 on his gravestone, and I really need to get out there and check that.. as soon as I do, I will make any necessary changes to his memorial. But there are some errors in those Kornegay records (I've seen them before), so I don't know how much faith to put in them. The errors could be in the transcriptions or the originals, I don't know which since I haven't seen the originals.

Please let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like me to look at. Sorry for the late reply too.. I've been out of town.

I'm related to Willis' mother, Mary Matilda, and have quite a bit of information if you need anything. Have a great day!

Hi again.
You are right, check his memorial again. I added the birth dates to the 1900 census and it coincides.
See ya, Bud

You need to ask for me to transfer memorials to you and you do the connecting.
But, I must warn you it is addicting and fun too.
Best regards to you and all yours, Bud
