Dyer Cemetery
For Stevvi,

Hi Stevvi. No need to apologize for corrections and additions. We are doing good work.

I moved all five memorials to the Dyer Cemetery in Grainger County and transferred the three that are duplicated to Penny. Hopefully she will move her headstone pictures to the older, more complete memorials and delete her dupes, but it is up to her.

Thanks!

Rick

Thank you for linking Susan Moody #139195167 to her parents.

I would be pleased if you would read my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.

Mary Ann Read
Thanks for sending the updates for connecting the parents for Sebastian and Thomas Read.

BTW, did you know that the parentage of Mary Ann Read is now in question? The Will of Thomas Cocke (found in Hawkins County) states that Mary Ann's and Margiana's maiden names were Creed, which would indicate that they were not his natural daughters, but his step-daughters by his second wife Lucinda Stubblefield Creed Cocke.

We need more info, which is why I had previously asked Stevvi if there was a marriage record for Mary Ann or Margiana in Grainger County which would prove a maiden name, but she couldn't find any.

Another mystery! Do you have any further info on this topic that might shed more light?

Yours,
Carole
