If you know the location of any cemetery in Ashe Co., NC which does not already have a map on FindAGrave, I would appreciate very much hearing from you.

I would like to transfer my non relative memorials to any relatives who are active and co-operative users of Find A Grave. Just ask. I make mistakes. Contact me with changes, corrections, etc.
My family surnames of interest are Walker, Starr, Sadler, Rumph, Jones, Moreland, Summers, Anderson, Shields, Thiesen, Couper & Traylor.
You are welcome to use my photos for any noncommercial use (eg post on your ancestry.com or other genealogy site tree- public or private).

this is my grandmother she died when my dad ralph Dixon marsh was 15 years old I did not know that he had a sister that died I was in ashe county the second week of august for decoration at calvin brinegar cemetery my moms mother and dad r buried there on old field creek I took some pictures of the cemetery and posted one on find agrave and posted on on the john calvin shepard cemetery site thanks

These are the same person. Natha Nile Allen was her first husband and the name, Lewis, on her SS record, etc. is attibuted to her second husband.

The ĎLillian' on his tombstone was Lillian Pearl Mahala.

There is a death certificate showing the July birth of an infant as well as the Aug death, both in 1919.

You show her as having a child born and died in 1919. That child was her brother - if you note that her dob was 1915!

Chet, this memorial should be set for the twin sons of Will Maggie Weaver. Someone changed the name to Byron Weaver. Byron was born in 1913 and died about 1977. I don't have the exact date, but wanted to let you know that it should be for the twins and NOT Byron. You can see from the headstone that it has the words infant sons--(names unknown at this time.)

Her mother was:

Nettie Elizabeth Pope Mahala (1896-1919).

The lady who appeared on the 1920 census was her step mother.
