I got interested in genealogy a few years ago so I thought I would list some of the cemeteries in this part of the country. Please email any corrections.|

|GracieB||Re: J W in Jordan Cemetery|
Hello, I'm interested in the grave marked J W. For a long time I have looked for my 2nd great grandfather's (Woodford Jordan's) death cert and gravesite. I have 1810 thru 1860 records for him. He would have been 79 in 1860. He would have been the Patriarch of the Jordan clan buried at the Jordan Cemetery. I'm wondering if the gravestone that says J W could be J for Jordan and W for Woodford. Does it have anything else even faintly marked on it? Thank you so much for you time.
1782 Hancock Tennessee
d? aft 1861 Wildie, Jordan Cemetery?
The rest of his family are all buried ther.
JW is Find A Grave Memorial# 6935103
Thank you again, and God Bless, Grace 2nd g grandchild
