I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding.
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

I've started putting G.P.S. locations on some memorials. The accuracy is supposed to be within 16 feet, so this should put you in the close proximity of the memorial. Not too bad for satellites 12,600 miles in space.

Thank you for creating memorial 32746902.
I am requesting to have the memorial be transferred to me. Mr Edney is the father of my sons and I would like to eventually transfer to them. Thank you in advance and thank you for making contributions to many gemological records.

Transfer of Memorials
Dear Don Atwell,
I am trying to get another person to transfer my Great, Great Grandfather and Great, Great Grandmother's Memorial. The lady told me to go to the EDIT part and request a transfer, but when I go to the EDIT part, not of the things on the list say TRANSFER. Could you please advise me what she is talking about??? I did contact her again quite a few days ago that I could not find where it says transfer, and she has never answered me back.
I do not know who else to ask, and I was hoping you could help me.
Thank you, Rene (Atwell+Williams) Pavelchak at

Hi Don,
First we have some history, you added and kind enough to transfer the memorial for my father, #54234061.
I had a question for Winnette, but see that she is not well.
I also see that you are a Find A Grave friend.
I'm wondering if you might know the answer to my question.
She added 96741147, in my linage, recently I went to the cemetery and his marker is not there, along with others that are missing. I believe she posted, not from a visual of a marker, but from some record. Might you know what record she may have used? There is a lot of data provided on her memorial, I'd really like to know the source.
Don, I know this is a stretch, I appreciate any help.

James Willis Atwell and wife, Nora
Dear Don Atwell,
James Willis Atwell and Nora (Suits) Atwell was my Great Grandfather and my Great Grandmother on my Mother's Eleo Margarine (Atwell) Williams side. Her parents were Uyless G. Atwell and Eliza Lodusky (Harp) Atwell.
In the 1910 Census:
James Willis Atwell and his wife, Nora had
Name Age
James Willis Atwell 34
Nora Atwell 29
Calvin C Atwell 11
Uyless Atwell 8
Willie G Atwell 5
Edna Atwell 3
and in the 1920 Census
another son:
Albert Atwell 6

Also, that Nora was born
and listed on the 1880 Census as
O. Senors Suits:
Name Age
M. William Suits 30
Elizabeth Suits 34
L. Denford Suits 11
E. William Suits 8
I. Marion Suits 6
O. Senora Suits 6 m

I have researched a bit further back, but am now stuck at the 5 John Atwells, (2 Seniors, 2 Juniors, and one neither a Senior or Junior!) all living in the same area!!!

Also, in the 1920 Census my Mother is listed
as 2 months old, and her's and her father's name is spelled wrong.

Name Age
Aryless Atwell 18 (Uyless G. Atwell)
Dusky Atwell 21
Eleamargin Atwell 0 (Eleo Margarine Atwell)
But in the 1930 Census, my Mother is missing
completely and there is a male child listed that is not Uyless or Dusky's child:
(Again, the father's name is spelled wrong.)
Name Age
Eulis E Atwell 27 (Uyless G. Atwell)
Dusky Atwell 32
Lawrence R Atwell 10
Ailene Atwell 7
Willis A Atwell 5

If you know of any reason for this, could you please let me know. My Mother married and had
8 children and did not pass until September 12, 1995. Thank you so very much. Rene Pavelchak
