Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the early 1980's, I curiously began searching for my ancestors. It has gone from curiosity to a passion all consuming. There is always something new to discover!! I owe it all to my BFF, Geneva!!
For those of you who sit in front of a cemetery book or a newspaper obituary column copying deaths into a cemetery, I truly feel sorry for you. For those of you who complain about those of us who have "Unknown Burials". I believe the name of this program is "Find A Grave". The hopes of family researchers is that some one some where will FIND our lost ancestor and may even find a tombstone of that loved one. As for me, I am so proud that this site has come about where I can share my family with others and hopefully find long lost family that I would never have found otherwise. Thank you, FindAGrave.
If you come across someone I have entered in a cemetery that is your ancestor and you have pictures or a bio you would like to add, OR you would like a transfer, don't hesitate to contact me through the EDIT button. I will transfer if they are not related to me.
Please be advised that links and other data on memorials [other than those for my immediate family members] more often than not come from other Find A Grave members and/or guests and/or from Ancestry. It has come to my attention that edits/links that you don't approve within 21 days will automatically be added to the memorial. Please double check & verify all information before taking what you read as gospel.
LINKING NOTE: Too many errors have come up with people submitting "Edits". I will no longer change any memorials without a verifiable source being provided.
PLEASE-NO DEATH CERTIFICATES on memorials I have created or manage!!
VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHERS: I appreciate your enthusiasm in taking tombstone pictures in cemeteries, BUT I do not appreciate additional tombstone photos on memorials when there is already a clear tombstone picture for that memorial.
FAMILY PHOTOS: I invite you to enjoy the family pictures posted, but ask that they not be copied and placed on any other website without my written permission.

RE: Family Tombstones
I think both need to be left on there, and I think she is buried under the Smith marker due to the age of it. The Hanson one a lot newer. Probably put there by their children at a later date. Did you read the bio that I wrote on her?

RE: Margaret Smith (#26165588)
It is not a duplicate. There are actually 2 different headstones. They need to be left. I will try to put all of that on the Margaret Smith, since I did that one. But Judy needs to leave it on there. Sorry about the confusion,
I think the Smith was put up when she died, and the Hanson was put up at a much later year, by his family.

Margaret Smith
Kay, I am still working on Margaret Gray Hanson Smith. She has two headstone in McNeil cemetery, One is Margaret E. wife of JM Smith. The other is a double headstone with
HG Hanson. Very confusing, I believe she is buried under the Smith, and the Hanson was put in at a later date. It looks like a newer one. I will do the best I can. Do you know where J M Smith is buried, and when they got married.

RE: Maggie West # 159547472
I really don't know if they are the same or not. Have never found out. Not many people even know about those cemeteries. I think it will be ok there. Thanks

Maggie West # 159547472
This person is buried in the Ham West cemetery. I have been told that the Ham West cemetery is in Harwood (which is in Gonzales Co.),but the property it is on, is in Caldwell Co.
I believe it is on private property, and hard to get to. I have looked for it before. I was raised at McNeil community, and now live in Luling.
I have a McNeil cemetery book that my cousin put together. It is a lot of help.
Please remove Maggie from McNeil.
Thank you.

RE: William D. Black (#97848889)

Thank you for getting back to me about this. I see my notes do not have a source for his middle name being "Dye"..... Oh well.

Thanks again,
