I am a family tree addict... it's my mother in law's fault. She got me interested in family roots about 35 years ago. This site has been a tree-mendous help in adding info on my family! I have learned the dying process of grave dowsing. While it may not tell you who by name is buried there, it can let you know that someone is there and the approximate age and sex of the person. It is very interesting when you have a really old cemetery and markers are unreadable. I live in central NC. If there is any way that I can find what you need, I am willing to help! |
Anyone is free to use my photos for their family research. I do this to help people out not to gain by copyrights on photos. I do watermark my photos but it is to see how far they travel. I feel that any photo I am able to take is a memorial to someone that might one day be gone and that person is forgotten. I am honored to be able to help preserve memories for family and friends.
I am not a huge fan of people posting a memorial by just copying obits out of the newspaper to grow their number....recently I have posted a few before burial which really gets under my skin- however, they were family or close friends. After having a total stranger post a memorial for a long time friend and neighbor who had no family and refused to transfer it, I decided to go against my thoughts for family and friends. I am not about numbers, just want family with family.....

Sorry I will handle them the way I want to. I work full time and do my updates when the weather is bad. If you don't like how I do them I am sorry

You have my total support. There are quite a few solid Find A Gravers out there, don't let the few who choose to be self righteous number trolls cast dispersion on the rest of us. They have nothing better to do than to critique other Gravers memorials. Like posted by a fellow Graver, it's a sad little life. Peace Out and keep up with the great work. PhilBo

I'm mainly here for finding local cemeteries for people and documenting the more obscure ones. I'm not related to Bondurants. Cheers.
Several years ago I spent a morning with a water witcher using a similar technique. I didn't have much luck. I'll try again after doing some research. Thanks!
I confess I had no idea there was such a thing. Please visit my profile to contact me directly. I'd Appreciate more information on this subject.
Sincere and cheerful regards, Bruce
