Asenath Stover Kinnear
Do you by any chance know anything about Asenath's husband William W Kinnear? I live in NJ and am trying to put all of the pieces together. The Stover connection is through my father's side of the family. I have Kinnear's on my mother's side. I am trying to figure out if William W Kinnear is related to the Kinnear's on my mother's side. Thanks for your time!

re: PS
And YOU made the memorial for Gordon - so it was YOU that did send me there. W/o the memorial, his cousin would have never requested a picture. So there - it was all your doing anyway! Maybe I'm not as nuts, as I thought that I was. Hugs!

re: forgive me - I'm nuts! LOL
It was the lady that sent me after the picture of the headstone for Gordon Martin that sent me there. I know that he and the other angels involved said, "Hey, I'll get my cousin to put out a photo request, and Kathy will answer it and rant and rave". LOL That is when I started seeing all your memorials . . so it was not your cousin. Forgive me!

RE: Riverside Cemetery
Thanks, Lady! I'm working at it and will continue. I totally agree with you about the funeral home markers. Perhaps a distant relative didn't realize that these people didn't have a marker and will get one. Let's pray so. Take care, dear heart . . and will be posting more pictures on "graves without a photo" at Riverside. I got all that I could and will get more, once they put those stones back down. God bless! And, Riverside owes you and cousin Gordon the debt of thanks. It was you guys that sent me there, yet I think there was a little help from God involved. Take care!

Riverside Cemetery
Thank you, dear heart! I went over there again today, and after my call to chewing out the city/county, you ought to see all the work that they are doing! I'm so proud! They are pulling up markers and leveling out sunken parts, and it is freshly mowed and has been kept up, as there is not tons of dead, long, mowed grass.

I hated bugging you about those edits but thought maybe you had spaced them out. I didn't even KNOW that there was a place to check for edits until this week. LOL And, Find A Grave has been really slow in processing things, I have noticed. So - thought it was one of those two things that might have been the problem.

You will be so proud, but I got most of the "photos needed" today. Some, the stones had been removed, and those temporary funeral home markers are there, so I didn't take the pictures of those. AND, my 4 yr old granddaughter and I walked the cemetery for about 2 hours snapping photos. I will check and see if the people that I took photos of their graves have memorials, and if they do not, I will make them. I WILL finish what you started. You did such a great thing in starting that. That cemetery really needed a friend. Now, you have passed the baton, and I will try my best to finish it up. So many graves are IMPOSSIBLE to find. I found several right up by the road that are COMPLETELY covered with grass. My hands were filthy, when I got home from brushing off mud and such. I will post the pictures of the photo requests soon.

Take care ... and thank you again for all! I know that those folks all appreciate your hard work. God bless!

George Dixon (Billings, MT)
You left a virtual flower--perhaps you have a connection with him. Do you know if he is the same George Dixon (born in Maine) who served in the Maine 1st Heavy Artillery, the Maine 3rd Infantry & the Maine 17th Infantry (all Civil War)? I've tracked him to Billings.

RE: Riverside
You are so welcome for the pictures! And, I will "pick up the baton" and try to finish Riverside. I've decided to make that cemetery my project. I will call the city this AM about the condition of that place. It is disgraceful! AND, Memorial Day is this week end too. There were a few "pictures needed" on that site, but I can find NO RECORD of them even being buried there. I have searched the city's data base for the cemetery and looked through the entire lists numerous times trying to find the missing ones with no luck. I called a funeral home yesterday that had handled one lady's funeral, and he said that she was cremated, and that the ashes were to be put in the "Riverside Cremorium". I said, "What?" LOL I explained to him that there WAS NOT A CREMORIUM at Riverside. Perhaps the family discovered that, or they saw the condition of the cemetery and made other arrangements. Still, I cannot find where she is buried. I checked the other cemeteries listed on the county website too, and she is not there. But, I will search further and try to find the pictures of the rest. I am sorry that you moved away, as I think we'd be a good team to get all the cemetery occupants listed on Find A Grave. There are so many babies over there, and their graves are practically covered over with overgrowning grass. It's a shame. Thank you so much for doing those memorials for those folks! That truly was so nice and kind. I know that they would appreciate your effort. I have the list of the rest of them that need photos, and as soon as we dry out a bit, I will go over and try to get them. We had HAIL last night (golf ball size) and a lot of rain, so everything is really wet. Perhaps it cleaned up Riverside some. Let's hope. Take care, and God bless! Kathryn #48407627

RE: Brown's in Pa.
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your reply. I have met another Karen whose husband is related to Nancy Little and her son John, she's from New Orleans. I take it you're not that Karen?

You do know that Nancy's son John was not Charles S. Brown's son. I have never found any adoption record for him either. I have only heard his father's last name was Streams. But he did go on to have a very large family all named Brown and unrelated to Charles'family.

I stick mostly to my blood lines and very rarely go off on unrelated lines, but if you have any info on John's father I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jill

Wilhemina Schweir - Thoesen
Hi Karen,
Were you aware that Whilemina Schweir and her brother and father arrived from Germany on 16AUG1869 on the SS Main. A photo of this ship can be found on Bing. Her sister arrived later (1872)on the SS Ohio.

Her burial was listed in the Cedar Twp. Cemetery book published by the Pocahontas County Historical Society (I think). Anyway, I know I got her burial out of that book.

I don't know if I can find my copy of this book, but if I can I will send you the page on which she is listed.
