Please put a source for information you'd like added. Otherwise, I will add it as a note only in order to avoid putting incorrect information on a memorial. If it can't be verified, I don't add it--for my own ancestors and for any other memorial.

If I've put a photo online that you'd like to use, please just ask. Also, please don't hesitate to leave a message with additional information and/or corrections. Please let me know your relationship when requesting a transfer; I'll respond either by making the transfer or by contacting you to let you know my connection. I try to log in about once a month.

Lar, Just read your bio and wanted to let you know that my edits come from the cemetery collection of " Sheffield Vermont's Older Cemeteries". Given to me by Norma Berry-Williams, trusting that I would update, add etc. information to the cemeteries she and her colleagues worked so hard to collect. Thank you for accepting them. Still many more to come. Diane

Jane Simms #28150536
Hi, Please see her PA Death Cert #67244 which states she is the dau of Thomas Reese. Sarah Jane Reese Humphery, wife of Joseph Humphrey, was buried in Shady Lane. They were both born in 1869 and died a month apart. One the dau of Thomas Reese and Sarah Jane the dau of Reese Simms. Hope this will explain my edit requests.

Humphrey Edits
I do have Humphreys in my tree. The edits I submitted are from the PA Death Certificates 1906-1963 and should be easy to doublecheck. Thanks,

Bennett Family
Hi Lar,
My Name is Patricia Harrigan Grams. I was a Bennett and was married to Leo M Bennett in June of 1971. His father was Leo M Bennett and his mother was Audrey Jobin. Leo died in 1966 and Audrey in 1969.
They were both living in Ft Lauderdale Fl at the time of their deaths. They are both buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Their children are as follows
Audrey Jean Bennett b 1950- last i know she is still living in Davie, Broward Co, Florida.
Baby Bennett b 1952 and died in 1952
Leo M Bennett b 1953 and d 2005 CHF
Michael Bennett b 1955 and d 2002 CHF never married
Andrea Bennett b 1956 (guess) and is still living in S Carolina. Husband name is Carroll ?. Last count they had 8 children. First boy was Christopher I believe.

Leo and I had 2 boys, Christopher and Jason
Chris is married to Tina and Jason is single at the moment. Chris has 2 children Devon and Ciara. Jason has 3 children, Chase, Shyla and Sophia. I am rambling (LOL) and it is late. I just started to go back on this line so I could use some help. Have a great day tomorrow!

RE: Bursler
I am no relation. I was just photo-documenting the cemetery.

Thank you for the kind words. "The Storytellers" on my profile was not written by me but it spoke to me also. As far as I can tell the writer is unknown. Fell free to use it :)

RE: Joseph Finnegan
I use the individual's death certificate for almost all of my updates/memorials (probably 98-99%).

Peter J Finnegan and Family (Holy Cross Cemetery)
You may already have this information, but just in case you don't...

I have info on some of the relationships of those buried in the lot of Peter J Finnegan (Holy Cross Cemetery).

Mary Finnegan (Maiden name: Coyle). Wife of Peter J Finnegan. Born in Ireland before 1860. Died 08OCT1902. Sources: Return of Death in the City of Philadelphia ( and Oliver Bair Funeral Director records ( Note on funeral records: Re-open grave of Marie Finnegan buried May 27, 1902.
Residence at death 2813 Ellsworth Street Philadelphia.
Mary Coyle Finnegan would be my 3rd great-aunt.

Marie Finnegan. Daughter of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle. Born about 1897. Died 23MAY1902. Source: Return of Death in the City of Philadelphia (

Dominick Finnegan. Son of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle. Born about 23AUG1896. Died 23OCT1924. Source: Pennsylvania, Death Certificates, 1906-1963. Certificate #100721 (

Marie L Mellor. Granddaughter of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle. Parents: Thomas Mellor and Catherine Finnegan. Born about 01SEP1897. Died 11JUN1914. Residence at death: 2910 Ellsworth Street Philadelphia. Source: Pennsylvania, Death Certificates, 1906-1963. Certificate #64424 (

Francis Miller. Assumption that "Miller" should be "Meller". Grandson of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle. Parents: Thomas Miller and Catherine Finnegan. Born about 14APR1911. Died 14OCT1918. Residence at death: 2908 Ellsworth Street Philadelphia. Source: Pennsylvania, Death Certificates, 1906-1963. Certificate #147744 (

Margaret Anderson. Assumption she was granddaughter of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle. Parents: Rose Finnegan (assuming daughter of Peter and Mary) and Jacob Anderson. Born about 01OCT1906. Died 23OCT1907. Residence at death: 2912 Ellsworth Street.Source: Pennsylvania, Death Certificates, 1906-1963(
Note: Rose Finnegan (daughter of Peter and Mary) married a James Furey in 1908, after Margaret Anderson died. So I assume this would be a second marriage for Rose? I do not know what happened to Jacob Anderson.

Added Info to back up Catherine Finnegan Meller and Rose Finnegan Furey as being daughters of Peter Finnegan and Mary Coyle: Source: Pennsylvania, Death Certificates, 1906-1963( Certificate #'s 43718 and 19198.

Please let me know if you have questions or notice any discrepancies.
