TO ALL NEW AND EXISTING MEMBERS: If I have taken the time to go to a cemetery to fulfill a photo request and there are other family members nearby, I will try my best to get photos of those markers and create memorials as well. I will also take the time to do light research on these people (ie.... ancestry, family search, internet..etc) and attach documented information for them. If you want a transfer, I generally will transfer one or two but please do not ask me to transfer entire families to you. Its not fair to me to go to all this work and then transfer it all. It takes the fun out of it for me as well as many others. If you want me to add additional information to their memorial, please use the EDIT tab and ask me. You can also add your own photos yourself. Thanks for understanding. |
Please feel free to use the photos I have taken of your loved ones to use on your personal family pages, on your family trees, or to share with family in general BUT PLEASE CREDIT THE SOURCE. If volunteers do not want you to use their photos or info and are afraid of someone "stealing" their work, why are they even posting the photos, obits...etc here?
PLEASE NOTE: Find A Grave NO LONGER sends out emails when you need to edit a memorial. You MUST check your own EDIT tab at the top of your Profile Page. Click it on and see if there are edits that need your approval.
If someone takes the time to fulfill your photo requests, why not take the time to THANK THEM!!! A little Thank You goes a long way and its very much appreciated.
To all the photo volunteers that take the time to photograph requests, a great BIG thank you to each and everyone of you.

|MissingHim||RE: Wheeler Children in Brooks Cemetery|
You are quite welcome! I plan to visit and photograph the cemetery this spring (or sooner if the snow goes away - hate how it hampers the itch I have to find cemeteries!). Very said tale about the Wheeler children - must have broken their mother's heart. I see she had another boy (Edwin) after these died, when she was over 40. Thankfully, it looks like Olive was already out of the house, and little Lillie survived the epidemic.

I had two different wives, but the one you have I'm certain is the correct one. My Wife's 4th Gr Gfather is Daniel Fleming 1761-1819, so Wm 1805-1881 would be her 3rd G GrandUncle. If you send me you e-mail address, I will send you what I have on this family.
|Wyatt Knapp||RE: Goodrich's in Saegertown Cem|
These are my Goodrich ancestors along with many associated family members in this cemetery.
RE: Brazilla vs Barzilla. The name was written in the various official and family records both ways, however it was more often spelled "Barzilla" and in addition that is the way he was referred to in our Goodrich family. The name "Barzilla" was passed down in the family and used as first and middle names" It is recorded incorrectly in this entry at Find A Grave as "Brazilla".
By the way, you referred to Barzilla as "she". Barzilla is a male and whenever the name was used in our Goodrich family, it was given to males.
|Prof. K. Edward Lay||Wm Fleming 1805-1881|
Wm Fleming buried in Prairie Cem, Butler Co PA.
Are you related to this person? He is a relative, but we have a different wife, Hannah Godfrey, and children. Would like to correspond with someone from this family.
Thank for your good work.
|Sarah Rose||Henry C. Mead and William H. Mead|
Dear FutureAncestor, I am a sister-in-law to Henry C. Mead and the aunt of William H. Mead. My name is Sarah J. Newell Rose, I want to take a moment to let you know I am very grateful to have not only find this site but that you took the time to take pictures of Henrys' (AKA Hanks) headstone but also found and posted a picture of William (aka Bill). Hanks' wife Vonetta Jackson Mead is buried on top of Hank as will be Willaim both of which have been cremated. I will be adding a plaque to the existing stone with their names and dates this coming spring.
It warmed my heart to find the site and the fact that you cared enough to post pictures is truly a blessing. You see Hank was the only father I ever knew and Vonette was more of a mother to me than a sister and Bill my brother. I am the last in our little family of four. Thank you so much for your kind and caring soul.
S. Jane Rose

Your 2nd photo on the memorial for Ralph H Raymond doesn't belong there.
It's for Frank H Raymond (and you already have the same photo on Frank's memorial).
|Jo A. McGinnis||Margaret Perry/171 723 082|
I found the date of her obit and thought I would let you know in case you need the date for your records. I know there are not spaces in the Find a Grave Numbers but if there are some spaces, I can input the numbers more easily, otherwise the numbers all run together.
Margaret died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1964. The obit was in the Butler Eagle, Monday Feb. 24, 1964, page 14.
Again, thanks for the obit. Source is noted on the memorial.
|Jo A. McGinnis||Obit|
I am going through Pleasant Valley Cemetery now. I look up every person and add the info from the death certificate and/or other sources that I find.
I noticed you added an obit for Margaret Perry (memorial number: 171723082). I have a preference not to have the obits in the picture area so I started over on the memorial. The obit was VERY helpful and I linked her to her children and spouse.
My question is: Do you know what newspaper and the date of the paper? I would like to add that info to the memorial. If you know the date of the obit, I can calculate her date of death. I checked the Pennsylvania Death Index from 1963 to 1965; strangely there is not recorded for her.
Thanks again for the obit; greatly appreciated.
The "unnecessary info" is the documentation for the information in the family tree and is generally well received by other researchers.
