I have been researching my family and my husband's family for approximately 15 years and have a wealth of information, photos, etc. that I presently hold in 2 large - 4 drawer cabinets. I am slowly transfering all information to ancestry.com, findagrave.com and other online sources. Not only do I want to clear my space but I LOVE sharing information with others. I am also very interested in contributing photos of tombstones for others when/where possible.
Thanks to all of those individuals that have assisted me and I hope to now pay it forward!
I will gladly transfer management of memorials within the rules of findagrave.com.

Matthew Leander Patton
Greetings,

Not sure if my previous messege I sent to your AOL account went through or not...Im not finding it in my sent folder. Wanted to check on a couple things. I have a SAR application from 1965 and some historical references it makes to pay documents etc that indicate the date of birth and death should be 1742 and 1789 for Matthew Leander Patton son of Matthew "old Matt" Patton. It also indicates he was a Captain under Gen Francis Marion in the SC Militia. From the pictures the Matthew Patton buried at this site was a Private in the NC Militia and the dates of birth do not match. I also found a reference to a Pvt Matthew Patton in a Penn. Volunteer unit in 1814, but no birth dates so not much help.

Looking at the family tree there are a whole bunch of Matthews and Johns and Im wondering if the SAR record is looking at the wrong Matthew L Patton or if the grave is for a different Matthew Patton.

1Lt. J.T. Patton USA, Ret.
5xGreat Grandson of Matthew Leander Patton Pvt? Cpl? Capt? Continental Army

Truax photos
Hi!
I am adding a number of other Truax photos in a few minutes. I would like to add a map to the burial grounds, but have no idea how to do that. It was quite an adventure finding the place and I want to be sure that others can find it it they so choose. The burial grounds have not been maintained. There are a number of headstones that I cannot read and many graves that are marked only by rocks placed on the top of the graves. I took pictures of everything that appeared to be a grave. Would you like any of these pics?

Lucille and Edward Butler
I just discovered the memorials for Lucille and Edward. Lucille Kelly was my Mom's first cousin and I'm working on all of the Kelly family line who are descended from Kieran Kelly of Kilkenny, Ireland. Are you related to Edward Butler? Would love to share information as I'm trying to bring forward the families of Lucille and her twin sister, Irene. Would love to correspond if we can share information.

Hi, not cofidant at all - I live in England and, am not familiar with "county's within" states - if he should be somewhere else, please do advise.
Many thanks
