RE: Joseph Van Marter
It would have to be this Aaron, Aaron b1782 Colts Neck NY. My Joseph was born in 1824, so all the other Aarons would be too young to be his father. Do you have any records of this Aaron having a son named Joseph?

Osceola and Rufus Thompson
Osceola Thompson married Gertrude Beveridge, 6 Dec 1871, Springfield, Sangamon, Illinois. Osceola died 8 Jan 1873, of smallpox at Newport Barracks, KY. Their son, Del Beveridge Thompson was born 6 July 1873, Springfield. IL.

Gertrude married Rufus Thompson, brother of Osceola Thompson, 19 June 1881, Franks, IL

I don't know where Osceola Thompson is buried.

RE: Linderman Genealogy
Thanks for the info. No, I have never searched that website before. I am sure that we probably are cousins.
God bless you, Sally

Joseph Van Marter

Can you tell me how Aaron Van Marter and Joseph Van Marter are related? My Joseph was born in 1924 and, I believe, married Eliza Harvey. Is there a connection? I would appreciate any info you are able to share.

I'm trying to reach a neighbor to this cemetery.
Emily Hardy please help me find her so I can return her husband's family pictures I've acquired. Share my number 814-663-0384 she lives down the road from the cemetery. I'm hoping you are a local resident.

Luther Linderman / Vail
Regarding correction sent to me: I'm not sure about deleting the memorial created at Seward Township Cem - MN as we have posted a copy of the headstone which clearly states M. Jennie Vail wife of John P Vail & Jennie's date of birth is inscribed as 3/4/1844 & there is also a son on the same stone. Also there is a stone for Luther..... I would like to keep the memorial but will make a notation in the bio regarding the 2nd memorial in IL. Anyone related to this family may have a way of straightening it out, but at this time I really have no solid information which would indicate that M. Jennie Vail & Luther Linderman are not buried in Seward Cemetery. I will try to do some further research & see what I can dig up. Thank you for contacting me. Sincerely, Judy

Ebenezer Hadley, Memorial #77587639
Hello, I am wondering if there is a possible error in transcribing the tombstone. We have an Ebenezer Hadley in our tree whom we think died just before 1850. He moved to Illinois from Ohio some time between 1840, when he is in Ohio on the US Census, and 1850, when his wife is living with son Benjamin in Sugar Grove on the 1850 Census.

That would make the actual death date Jan 11, 1849, not 1819. And working backwards, he would have been born Mar 2 1783, which is one year off from the date we think he was born in Vermont.

I can't tell from the photo, and maybe whoever took the photo couldn't have read it clearly when physically present. Do you know if the records still exist for the burials in that cemetery? Thanks!
