|Stardust||RE: Jack Turner|
I knew of "Top Hat" through Rosemary Mavene Tallent, and her husband Dolsen. Find A Grave #97587833. They owned a dude ranch named "Glory Ranch." In researching I found that Rosemary owned a share of Top Hat, co-ownership. I assume that after the passing of the Turner's she had full ownership. Top Hat lived at her ranch. She rode him with beautiful silver saddles in many of the Rose Parades. She displayed a full barn at the San Bernardino County Fair each year of Top Hats off spring. I never met the Turner's, and only became aware of them as I researched the history of Top Hat. I found in my research that Rosemary had taken beautiful photographs of famous horses. People have sent me photographs, which I have displayed on her memorial. There are 20 photos in total.
Thank you for contacting me,

I don't remember if I replied to this, but I know little about the Dukes. There was a cousin named Carl Helmick who live in CA that did a lot of research on the Dukes. I do not think he is living now. But you may be able to trace his descendents in CA.

|Brian S. Billett||How do you update your biography|
Dan wishing to change my information thank you Brian
|PKoppe||Peter Koppe, Jr|
Thank you so much for posting the picture of my G- grandfather, Peter Koppe, Mound Hill, Eaton, OH. You put this question on the posting: "Not the same date as published and on the reverse of someone slses stone. Do I have this right?" I have his death date listed as 9 Jun 36. I thought I had a copy of his death certificate, but strangely do not. I have his obit, but cannot read the date of the newspaper and the exact death date isn't listed. It states he died "last Thursday." Obviously, the date I have in 1936 is not the same as on his headstone.
Your question indicates you may have seen his name on the back of someone elses headstone. Do you remember the details? I have long wondered if he is really buried in the new section of the cemetery since his wife is buried in the old section.

Dan, thank you so much for the very sharp pictures of the tombstone for James Deniston, Jr.
I would certainly be interested in having the stone repaired. He was my great-great grandfather.
