|John G. West||West Cemetery, Chatham C., NC|
Ignatius West b.1750 d. 1831 is believed to be buried in this cemetery and is listed without a marker in this cemetery. Many of his children are buried here on what is believed to have been his land. Some Durham's married into this West family. My direct ancestor (Thomas West, Jr.) was the brother of Ignatius. Thomas West, Sr. is their father. A grandson Abram West of Ignatius removed to Hendricks County, Indiana just west of Indianapolis. Thomas West, Jr. left Chatham Co about 1808 +/- a few years and settled in Christian Co., NC. I live in Evansville, IN on the Ohio River about 1/2 way between Hendricks and Christian Co.
I wanted to make contact with you to say thanks for getting all of the info on this West Family Cemetery on Find-A-Grave with the great photos of the grave markers. Do you have any additional info on the West/Durham families that may be of help in researching the origins of the West family? We believe these West's came from Caroline Co., VA or a nearby county in the early to mid-1700's. Thanks for all of the work you do to help others via Find-A-Grave.
|Sue Lovel||Live Oak Cemetery McCulloch Co., Emma Mayfield|
Hello My Durham, I was pleased to see a posting for Emma May Mayfield in McCulloch Co. In the Live Oak Cemetery. Find A Grave 69714397 It does not show a headstone and I was wondering where you got this information. I have been looking for a infant who died in either Brady Tx, or San Saba, Tx. She would possibly be my Father's sister who died in Infancy. I am curious as to who her parents were.
If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it. You can reach me here or at email@example.com. Thank you for any additional information you might could give me.
|nicole ellis||unknown dates|
hello james im nicole ellis granddaughter of the late terry ellis and margaret ellis. i noticed on a few of the dates you put unknown because only one date. i work at a cemetary here in wichita falls and i have learned that if there is only one date and it is a single marker by its self the reason it only has one date is because the infant died or didnt make it threw child birth and the family only puts one date on there. if you ever have any questions on any thing about cemetaries dont hesitate to ask.
have a nice day and god bless nicole ellis.
|mitchell ||Caroline Clemmons|
Hi James, I was wondering if you had anymore pictures of Caroline and her kids, I think that I was related to her and I wanted to see if you had any other pictures that you could maybe share so that I could make the determination! Thanks!

Just to let you know I just put up pictures of the three Cunninghams on your find-a-grave sites. You might want to check out the dates you have for them as they are different then what you have posted. I double checked the dates and what is written in the book is different then what is on their headstones. I made sure that I was at the correct spot in the cemetery when I took the pictures.
P.S If you do not want the pictures, let me know and I will take them down

After sleeping on it (and some further research) I decided to put all the pictures I took on the memorials you created. The listing of people in the cemetery listed as Williams Cemetery (Rt 783) appear to be taken from a listing in the book, "Giles County Virginia History of Families Vol 1) That listing appears to be a combination of a number of different cemeteries, two of which I have documented in person with photographs. I also can't find a Rt 783 in the Maybrook area Giles Co. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks for your work on listing this cemetery. Your listing agrees with a list put together by a Lisa Link Herr in 1999 and also agrees with my on the ground picture documentation. I will add the additional graves that I took pictures of, that have been buried there since that Lisa did her transcription or that she missed.

Williams Cemetery in Giles Co is a duplicate cemetery and all of the memorials you created in it are duplicates as well. Sharon Brown created the cemetery that is listed on Findagrave as Williams Cemetery (Rt. 783) Her cemetery and all of the memorials of the 29 buried there were created in 2008, three years before you did yours. So we can avoid further confusion, would you please delete your duplicates and contact findagrave about delete the duplicate cemetery.
