I started doing FAG because I enjoy going to cemeteries. I especially like the older stones because they tell so much about the people by what family members put on their stones. My sister and I have been walking and photographing the Burkburnett Cemetery to correct the many mistakes that are out there. There is no greater loss than to lose records and not be able to know who is buried in a cemetery. This cemetery is very dear to me because a great many people buried in it are relatives of mine. |
I am happy to help in any way that I can. I do travel quite a bit for FAG so if there's something you need, please ask. If it's within reason, I'm sure I would be glad to do it.
I am NOT a "numbers" person so when I create a memorial I like to make sure I know as much information as possible. If you are one of the many who are playing the numbers game, please do not get upset when you are bombarded with SACs. YOU created the page so accept the responsiblity of updating the memorial.
TRANSFERS: I'm happy to make transfers but PLEASE make sure you include the memorial number or the cemetery they are buried in. I visit over 50 different cemeteries so it makes things easier for me. Make sure you follow the FAG guidelines for transfers. Also, please include YOUR member number with the requests.

You have done a great job of photographing and creating memorials for many people in the cemetery at Burkburnett. My mother has many family members who are buried there (Key, Smith, Terry) and much of the information you have posted would have been lost without your help. May I have your permission to use copies of the photographs on their memorials in my tree on Ancestry? I will give you credit for the photos.

I apologized and said I was sorry. I also asked that you remove your photo.
Please remove your photo so I can make a new request for someone to post and e-mail me an uncropped clear photo which shows all of the grave marker in the photo.

I just sent you an edit, but wanted to give you a little more info than I could include via the tab. Kathy was my cousin (I never knew her; she died before I was born), but I remember my mother talking about her. Kathy's mother, Margaret Key Todd, was my mother's half-sister. After Abby Todd died, Margaret married Jesse Rothrock.

I am sorry for upsetting you with the content of my message. I let my frustration show and I should not have done it in a negative way.
I will contact Katrina at Find-a-Grave and let her know you will be making a complaint regarding my message. I will apologize to her also for having to spend her time dealing with my frustration.
Again, I am sorry and have a great day!
I AM FRUSTRATED! I put uncropped clear e-mailed family grave marker photos in my genealogy files for my kids, grandkids and great-grandkids to have when I am gone. I have not been able to obtain such a photo for Robert and Della Prenderville.
During the past two weeks, I have made two photo requests each with an explanatory note asking for someone to post and e-mail me an UNCROPPED CLEAR photo of the grave marker for Robert and Della Prenderville. You deleted my first request and then apologized for doing so. I waited a week and made my second request, again, with an explanatory note asking for someone to post and e-mail me an UNCROPPED CLEAR photo. The photo you just posted is very tightly cropped and the engraving is faint and difficult to read. This may be due to sun glare on the marker.
You either did not read the note I sent with each request or chose to ignore the note.
Please delete your photo from the memorial for Della Prenderville and post and e-mail me an UNCROPPED CLEAR photo. If you can not, or, will not post and e-mail me an UNCROPPED CLEAR photo, then let someone else take care of my request. I will start over again with a new request (third request in less that a month).
Thanks for the Wilson pic. It is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the McIlhaney headstone photos: W.A., Addie, and Joe. The three came in one email, so I did not see them all at once. I appreciate your help! :)

|SMH||Oops...I meant Wm. A. McIlhaney|
I thanked you for the photo of Joe McIlhaney's headstone. Should have said William Arthur McIlhaney. :)
