Bio

When I was a kid, my grandparents would take me with them to visit the cemeteries where relatives were buried. They would stand by a stone and talk about the person buried there. I wish I could remember those stories. This is a way to record stories I am now told. There is a story under every stone and cemeteries full of untold stories. I hope this will give people a chance to record a memory before it is forgotten, then lost.
Recently, my husband got a Harley and we have combined our two interests. We ride the bike to various cemeteries that folks request photos from and have fun reading the old names and hunting for the requested gravesite. Sometimes just finding the cemetary is quite the challenge!
I do research on the following family lines: Lillpop, Askren, Green, Bell in Indiana. In Mississippi I follow the lines of Taylor, Ferguson, Scott and Holden.
"Do not, my Brothers and Sisters, think of the cemetery with tears, nor meditate upon the coffin and the shroud with gloomy thoughts. You only sojourn there for a little season, and to you it will not appear a moment; your body will sleep, and if men sleep all through a long night it only seems an hour to them, a very short moment. The sleeping time is forgotten, and to your sleeping body it will seem no time at all—while to your glorified soul it will not seem long because you will be so full of joy that a whole eternity of that joy would not be too long!"
