I have been recording genealogy and family histories for approximately 40 years. This has always been an interest of mine--since childhood. I live on a piece of the old farm where I was born and my family has owned for generations. Several lines of my ancestors have been in this area of Southeast Georgia for over 200 years. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, both of which I am very proud.|
I have been a member of Find A Grave for much longer than stated above. I was unable to access my old account and had to start anew. I've always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries, as well as old houses.
My husband, Larry, and I have published two pictorial history books: "Treutlen County, Georgia" in 2008 and "Montgomery County, Georgia" in 2010. These books can be purchased online at Arcadia Publishing Co. We enjoyed visiting people in these counties who invited us into their homes and allowed us to scan their precious family photographs.
N O T E:
Anything I post, photos or memorial biographies, may be copied and used for personal use as long as you give me credit, just as I personally do if I can find the source.
I welcome corrections and additions to my posts and will respond to all messages. This site is a wonderful tool, but it is only effective if those who post memorials will strive to place them in the correct cemeteries and will continue to maintain them.

It made me feel much better when I read over your messages. I saw how many others you have had problems. People like you hurt Find A Grave.

I am sure you are proud of the accomplishments of your!s and your ancestors. I only wish they could read the email you sent me. I believe you should hang up your hat, if you are going to stoop to such levels.

First I want to thank you for all the many hours of research you have done!! Many of the ancestors I have found have your name as the contributor. This Farquhar Columbus Adams( Williamson)is my great great grandfather. I have read a letter that some one wrote while his 1st wife died. Lewis, the baby mentioned, was my father's grandfather. His full name was Lewis Columbus Adams he was married to Daisy Conner from the Montgomery County area as well. They had several children Lois Columbia Adams was my grandmother and she was married to Max Lawson Wilkes.

I appreciate the correct info on his last name.
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||David Second|
Many thanks for the birthdate.
Your work with Find A Grave is certainly appreciated. If I can help, let me know.
And you could learn to be a little nicer. People make mistakes.
I added material given to me by Mr. Adams who does the Taylor Co Newspaper- and yes, I now see the dates are wrong.
And if I made other mistakes- you will need to tell me nicely, and on that particular grave, or it will definitely stay like it is. I will do almost anything for folks who ask me nice- and next to nothing for folks like you.

Do you want me to transfer grave to you? I always give graves to family members. I did now know this was a relative. Just let me know and I will transfer it.

I tried to place her as second wife, even added date, aft 1908, but since I did not list the first husband, and cannont order Marion, ida keeps coming up as first wife.
Since you added Marion, and linked her to Lige, you should add their marriage date of 1893 and whd will become his first wife
They married 13 Aug 1893 in Emanuel Co., Georgia
Elijah "Lige" married Ida after Marion's death about 1908.
Thanks for making me look this up. I have added marriage dates to my tree. :) Robin
