Bio Photo Still living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where most of my ancestors have lived. My passion for genealogy drives me to help others find their roots. Please feel free to contact me whether family or genealogy searcher.
In 2007 when searching for Kocinski headstones, I decided to document old cemeteries on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Below are the current list of cemeteries I have completely documented.
St. Adalbert's Cemetery on Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Carrick, Pennsylvania started May 2007 and finished November 2007.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Adalbert's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after May 2007, may not be listed.
St Josephat's Cemetery on Glass Run Road, Pittsburgh (Baldwin), Pennsylvania started April 2009 and finished May 2009.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after April 2009 may not be listed.
Loretto Cemetery on Devlin Street, Pittsburgh, South Side, Pennsylvania started in May 2009 and finished August 2009.

Story from contributor Phyllis Seaman-Eckert about her aunt who died at age 2 and burial location:
There are graves down over the hill at the 1st part of the circle. Apparently, many children were buried down there. In fact, we were always able to locate her grave because it was near a rather large above-ground structure for a Spanish or Mexican child.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after August 2009 may not be listed.
St Peter's Cemetery on Arlington Avenue, Pittsburgh, Mt Oliver, Pennsylvania started in August 2009 and finished September 2009.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Peter's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after September 2009 may not be listed.
St Michael's Cemetery on 18th Street, Pittsburgh, South Side Pennsylvania started in September 2009 and not finished

Mildred Skibinski Kukleski
Mildred (#152369701) should STILL be linked to her husband, Henry Robert Kukleski (#151240756), but when I submitted the correction for her father, it wouldn't let me send the message with her husband's number in the box.
Sorry for the trouble.

Skibinski Family
My apologies for the confusion.
I just learned from a friend, the son of Mildred Skibinski Kukleski (#152369701) that she and her 4 siblings (Joseph A., Edmund S., Jessie, and Henry F.) were all linked to the wrong Joseph Skibinksi. (There are 2 in the same cemetery.) I just submitted the corrections.
MADELEINE is not a sibling, but she IS linked to her correct parents.
Thank you so much.

RE: Obit posting
Good Morning!

I had a subscription to, that has run out. But you can still search in there to get the exact date. Then I look it up in Google News Archives, a free site. The copying is done with the Microsoft Paint program. We were just at St. Michaelís this week, and always think of you when working on it. Guess you're not at the bank anymore?

Thanks for the help!
Hello again. I got all of your information--thanks so much for collecting all this data!

I actually was, and still am, an ancestry user to this day! I'm partly familiar which each of the documents you gathered. I suppose I was hoping that the cemetery administrator's may have had physical information regarding each grave; or perhaps you had larger documents for each of your subjects.

I was also hoping that there may have been any more information about Joseph and Agnes's parents!

And no, I don't believe that was my Agnes, because her father was named Jakub.

But thanks again for the help! I suppose this may be my confirmation that there really aren't any detailed documents regarding the family--and when I say documents, I mean more than just census information, but like I said, the information regarding my family is scarce.

Regardless, I appreciate the information. Thank you!

And thanks for providing the names of the cemeteries. I'm going to see if I can visit one soon.

I Need Your Help!!!
Hi, my name is Alex Hovanec. I saw that you were responsible for the articles on "Joseph Hovanec", husband of "Agnes V Hovanec" (V standing for Virostek).

Would you happen to have any genealogical data, documents, or information regarding the two? Joseph was my great-grandfather and Agnes was my great-grandmother.

The thing about my last name--Hovanec--is that it's SO extraordinarily rare that there's very few information online regarding any of my ancestors--the history is rather scarce.

This is one of the few, and I saw you were responsible. So do you have any information you could give me? Or were you only responsible for taking photos of the grave while walking though the cemetery and then uploading them to here? XD

Which is another thing I'd like to ask... why did you add them to this website? Were you strolling through a graveyard, took a photo of the grave, and uploaded it to here? Or do you possibly know more about the people you upload to here?

Thank you!

Ascension Cemetery Clairton PA
Hi, you've added a number of graves to Ascension that don't belong there. I've put notes on the improper burials. Many people don't know this now, but there were once 3 cemeteries on the site where Ascension & St. Clare are: Ascension Byzantine Catholic, pld St. Mary's Serbian Orthodox, and St. Clare's Roman Catholic. St. Mary's is located in a narrow strip between Ascension and St. Clare. The orientation of the headstones in Ascension is different to that of St. Clares. See my entry for St. Mary's Serbian Orthodox cemetery on Find A Grave. Thanks K Vica
