I am a descendant of John Parminter and Christian Kronberg (both 1800's immigrants) and am interested in family geneology. Please let me know if you see an error in my work.|
I also enjoy photography where it can document any recordable fact or event, as well as the beauty of nature.
Where possible memorials here should have at least one picture of the headstone, and where known, the location of the plot. This site would not be of much use to anyone if it were not for the people creating memorials beyond their own family. These should be transferred if they are your close ancestors and not mine. Who knows, we may be cousins!
If I have created a memorial of your family member, it was with great respect and the hope that someday you will find it and want it transferred to you (see "Help with Find A Grave" for transfer guidance. NOTE - I follow FaG guidance on transfer of close ancestors.) Let me know if I can help or if you have some additional info, I will be pleased to add it for the memorial. Please use the "edit" tab on the memorial for these suggestions or transfers.
***NOTE - The new edit function is available to all Find A Grave members. Please make sure to check your edit tab on the top right hand side of your profile page.***

Thank you for your suggestion and your help. Thank you for also being so nice about it. There are so many people that know more about how things are done but are not very nice in asking for corrections. So God Bless You and all you do!!

The marriage records are public domain records and part of a persons life story. Findagrave's photo guidelines are about copy right infringement, nothing more. If Findagrave had not intended for the memorials to include the persons life story they would not have created a Bio section or facilitated the linking of family members. This website would then be as dry and minimally informative as many other grave websites.
You make your memorial look like genealogical research notes instead of something that tells the persons life story. Your method for adding information to memorials is very impersonal, though not as bad as some I have seen.
I agree that some control is needed when it comes to adding information to a memorial. It should be correct information or state the range of possibilities in the bio section. That way future researchers have a starting point.
In the future instead of sending you edits I will add information to the memorials of relatives that are not a part of your management. I will include the memorial number of any memorials you manage so those family members can be found. But someone else will have to send you the links.
Your memorial's will not be getting any enhancements of any kind from me. They can stay bare and impersonal, which is your style. I get the impression that you would be happy as a clam if no one ever sent you an edit of any kind. You just want to do your thing and not be bothered by anyone. So do your thing and I will steer clear of you.
You are much to up tight for me. I am saying that as a person who actively controls the content of the memorial I manage. I research all information sent to me because I want it to be correct. I work hard at making my memorials as information filled as is possible. But I try to control the content of my memorials without being a know it all.

Please point me in the direction of the guideline that states photos of marriage records are not allowed. I could not find it. I posted the records under "other" not person or family.

I appreciate you taking the headstone of Arcie.
|Jennifer DeVore||Adelaide Pratt|
Thank you so much for the picture of the memorial for Adelaide L Pratt, my great-great-grandmother.
Thank you very much for the nice photo of his headstone. I really appreciate the help from gravers in faraway places. We are in Minnesota and he was a cousin of my husband.
