I live in Oregon east of Portland and at the mouth of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. My husband and I live across the street from and old Douglass Pioneer Cemetery and that's where we enjoy taking a lot of our walks. We have some of our family, some neighbors and church friends buried there.|
I am enjoying working on our family trees, its hard not to take pictures of other graves, I know what a blessing it is to have help from others as I search to put the pieces together.
I received a picture request and it was a real "Find A Grave".
The person was buried in 1935, I don't know how many years this tree has been growing and still is growing, or if it was planted there or not, but this is something to think about. The tree is about 50-60 feet tall.

Daniel Christopher Dollahon and Jemima Ward are my 3rd great grandparents. Their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Dollahon 1834-1867 is my 2nd great grandparent. Her brother was George Dollahon. Sarah married Charles Henry Barney.

Thank you Janice. I wasn't sure you'd like the photos since there is a family stone and John's marker is below that stone. I was trying to get both of them together but then you couldn't read any inscriptions. So, i am happy you are pleased with the two separate photos.

Hi Janice, my name is Herb Martin and Jemima Gessimia Dollahan or Dollahon is my 3rd great grandmother. Thank you for putting this in FindaGrave. Her actual grave site is unknown but her husband, Daniel Christopher Dollahan is known and he is buried at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Il. In your entry for Jemima you mention a book by Virgil Dollahan. Do you know how I could see this book or who has it. I live near Chicago, Il and never knew about the Dollahans until this year. I have cousins in Oregon related to this family. I hope you can help. Herb
