I've always been fascinated with grave sites, visited cemeteries, made rubbings, took photos, etc. and must say that find-a-grave is an ideal site.

I've worked on family history projects for over 35 years and will for as long as I can. I'm more than happy to share family history with anyone interested.

The primary names I research are STROOPE, KEA, Pitts, Howton, Trammel, Hopper, Hale, Thetford, CARPER, BARTON, Lyon, Phipps, Griffith, Ellison, Shumate and many allied lines.

When I document a grave site, I try to include some information on the parents, siblings, marriage, etc. hoping this will help someone identify their relative. In some cases, when recording my line, or lines, I've created memorials for as much of the cemetery as I've had access to.

I'm not likely to post obits. I prefer to glean information from any I receive.

I'll be glad to transfer your family member to you. Always remember the FAG # for the memorial page and, of course, your FAG #. PLEASE do not send me a big list of names with no numbers included... thanks

If I have grave site information in error, please contact me so that corrections can be made.

Recent projects include:

--Gig Harbor and Haven of Rest Cemeteries, Gig Harbor, Pierce County, Washington

--JCC Smith Cemetery in Texas

--Knight of Pythias and Sunset Lane Memorial Park, Port Orchard, Kitsap County, Washington

--Lovington and Resthaven Cemeteries, Lovington, Lea County, New Mexico

--Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, Pierce County, Washington

--Mount Calvary Cemetery (Santa Barbara Cemetery) , Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico

--Calvary, Old Pioneer and Tacoma Cemeteries, Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington

--Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Tuscola County, Michigan

Re Roscoe Jones Lakebay
Got your suggestion. Thank you. I insert only that which I know from my own research. Am not a family member. Was simply walking the cemetery one day. If you wish to manage this record, I'd be happy to transfer it over to your care.

RE: Maloire
Yep....spellings are the challenge. Even in my own family's history. I hope to go get a photo of his headstone this weekend if the weather holds. You asked for it on Taweret's and she deleted her site. So I will get one...someday. HA

Do you know where William is buried?
Find A Grave contributor Kathy Stroope Veasey has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Jesse Rowe.
Link to memorial:

Their suggestion:
He married Martina Josephine Cordelia Murphy, ca 1896. Their known children are William J and Sarah Elizabeth Rowe.

Son of George & Helen Opitz
I believe you manage the memorials for George & Helen Opitz. I've added a picture of the grave marker for the infant son of George & Helen Optiz to Helen's memorial. The marker is in Oakwood Hill Cemetery in Tacoma.

Oops...dyslexia huh. As soon as Alice moves the death certificate to the correctly spelled on by Taweret, I'll delete mine.

Thanks for catching that.

I am sorry, her full name is a mystery I have not discovered the answer to yet.

RE: Transfers
those were the only ones.
I'll check the Old Settlers in Lakewood.
I think I have a few in some Spanaway cemeteries. Do you want those?

Fine family suggestions
Sorry, I had spent the last hour and a half updating all the dates and places when I saw your edits. The immigration papers provided Kovno/Kaunas as the place of birth, as well as DOB for each of the children. I appreciate your interest and input, and next time I will check my edits before I go off and running making changes on my own.
