I live in Oregon east of Portland and at the mouth of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. My husband and I live across the street from and old Douglass Pioneer Cemetery and that's where we enjoy taking a lot of our walks. We have some of our family, some neighbors and church friends buried there.|
I am enjoying working on our family trees, its hard not to take pictures of other graves, I know what a blessing it is to have help from others as I search to put the pieces together.
I received a picture request and it was a real "Find A Grave".
The person was buried in 1935, I don't know how many years this tree has been growing and still is growing, or if it was planted there or not, but this is something to think about. The tree is about 50-60 feet tall.

|Brian Foss||Amanda and James Clark|
It's been a while, I hope you are still researching. If so, I was wondering if you was able to obtain an obit on Amanda and James, if possible, I would like to obtain the death certificate for Amanda.
Also I am curious if there are any historical societies in the area that may have collected anything of hers from that time.
Thank You Again for All that You Do!
|Jason N. Lombardi||Mervin Smith|
Curious, but are you related to the Mervin Smith as in the memorial you have added to this site?
|hbryson1||Headstone Photos at Tumalo Cemetery|
Hello, my name is Hal Bryson, and Iím writing to ask if I may have your permission to use several of your Find a Grave headstone photos in my Ancestry.com family tree. I think that the headstones are a useful addition to family trees and I would like to include them.
Please let me know. Thanks!

I see your flower with that information. Please don't put that with the flowers? I will add anything you ask in the bio. When people put that on flowers, it usually means they can't get that memorial owner to respond. :-)

Janice, are you sure her name was Mary Lillian? Just wondering. Even her SS# states Mamie. Usually they require their birth names.

Hi Janice, I got a little confused last night when trying to process your edits, and hadn't looked at all you sent, including where you had made a mistake. I had realized that it wasn't right, but then got so confused. lol I had just gotten off work and was tired. So, you might need to resend some edits? I'm still going through them, but it won't take long to finish them.

|STUPEK||Your Lone Fir Cemetery Sign|
Hello Janice. Could you add to your photo of the Lone Fir Cemetery Sign that it was stolen sometime in the past month so there is no longer a sign letting people know where it is off of Sandridge Road in Long Beach Washington.
The turn is Sandridge Road and 85th Street. Only one way to turn going through a field and up a hill to the cemetery.

|Leta Koll||Bella Oleson|
Cemetery records do not show a section or lot # for Bella. Her husband, Otto Oleson, and her parents, Ella and Nelson Luther Albee, are shown as being buried in Section C Lot 133. Otto does not have a headstone. Ella and Nelson Luther do have headstones and pics of those are attached to their memorials. I have transcriptions of Bella's obituary. I also have pictures of Bella and Otto's marriage certificate and the marriage certificate of Otto and his second wife, Frances Scott. If you would like copies of any of those, let me know where to send them.
On your photo request you stated you were interested in how the last name was spelled. They are listed as Oleson in the Oakland cemetery records but since there is no headstone, it can't be verified that way. And, unfortunately, in the newspaper articles it was spelled Oleson but on the marriage certificates it was spelled Olson, so there really is no definitive answer for how they spelled their last name from the information I have been able to find.
If there is any other information I can look up for you, let me know. Leta
