Clatsop Plains Cemetery?

Do you know who if any might hold the records for Clatsop Plains Cemetery? Do you know if any still exist? I see you did a lot of the photos. Thanks.

I would have preferred to send an email but one is not listed. I requested parents linked in January of 2013, then a reminder in May 2013. Please link her parents:

B. C. Kindred
I'm working on the Mudd Family history and I was wondering if I can print the gravestone photo of B. C. and use it in the family book since he is the father of Mary and Sarah Mudd wives of Willis and Frank.

Hi Robert,

This is just not true that Lewis is a son of the Augustine buried in the Presswood cemetery in Monroe County, nor is he directly related. He is probably the son of the 'Austin' (Augustine) who was in Alabama in 1830 or so.

I have fought Sharon Presswood, the Fifes, and those who use Newell & Fay Presswood's research for years telling her I have researched this family practically back to the Garden of Eden and can find no proof that Lewis is in it, but the erroneous info they have posted has spread like water out of a faucet and is impossible to put back in.

If you will, please remove the link that has him as a son of Augustine until you can furnish proof, or I can have a Findagrave administrator to do so and will furnish all the Presswood research I have collected for the past 40 years as proof. Besides, Martha 'Patsy Bowman' and Augustine married in1853 after his first wife Mary Harper died, and being in their old age did not have children, so that link is absolutely ridiculous.

What you can do is put him in a virtual cemetery and connect his children, but I can almost assure you that Lewis R. Presswood is NOT a son of this Augustine.

Just think abut it, why would he be in Alabama as an 18 year old, hundreds of miles away in 1850 when all the rest of Augustine's family is right here in Polk and Monroe. Do you see a single name ever in Lewis' family that reflects his being a son of Augustine whose children have names such as Leander, Matthew, William I., Absalom, Josiah, and all of them have children with similar names - and Lewis does NOT.

Thanks Robert, and good luck with your Presswood research, hopefully you can find Lewis 'real' parents. If I were looking for his family I'd check out those Alabama Presswoods who seem to go right back to an earlier Augustine who lived in the Cheraw District of SC, same as our line. I know they're related back in SC, but Lewis is just not through Jonathan and Augustine.

Photo, please?
Hi, Kara.

I'm desperately searching for the graves of my great grandparents, and the results of a search on led me to you. I'd like a photo, please, of the graves of Hans and Anna Mamm, in the Lewis and Clark Cemetery in Clatsop County, Oregon. I can't be 100% sure at this point that the names are correct, but my grandfather, August Mamm, his brothers John and Richard, and their sister Pauline all lived in the Oregon area for many years, and we've never been able to track down their parents. Brother Richard is listed as a resident of Astoria, Oregon in 1909, at age 18. Can you help me? My email address is
