I so enjoy getting to walk around cemeteries and take pictures of grave markers. I also love that FAG exists and gives everyone a place to "remember" their loved ones. |
With that said, I recently found that a FAG contributor requested moving flowers (or images) not be posted to "her" memorials because "I think you would agree that your gesture is about respect for the dead, and not a competition of who can find the most distracting jpeg." I am quite disgusted by that comment. As far as I am concerned, even if I did create a memorial, it is not "my" memorial. A family member or friend should be able to leave any tribute they see fit on their loved ones memorial, as I am not to judge what is appropriate for someone else.
REMEMBER: Find A Grave is a wonderful place to find family and friends who have left us and every memorial we contribute adds more value (and love) to the site. Refusing to transfer a memorial to a family member is just plain rude and selfish; not to mention against FAG's policies for a direct line family member. If you don't want to "play" by the rules, leave.
With the exception of my own personal family photos, photos I post can be used by others for their personal, private and/or non-commercial use. If you want to post them to Ancestry or similar site, please respect my efforts. Do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com or similar site without giving me credit. Simply copy and paste:

|Dianne||deletion of Myrtle Price|
Thank for letting me know I had a duplicate. I didn't have her surname correct since she remarried. I have deleted mine and hopefully the other person will add what I asked of her.

Thank you for taking the time to do the photos. We live in KS and I was able to show my son his grandfathers grave in TX.

She is the souse of Hans Christian Anderson Find A Grave Memorial# 53265211. thank you very much and I do not wish to have the memorials transferred to me and I am not a relative, just an individual trying to help a friend.
thank you and have a nice day--it is wonderful what you do for Find-A-Grave and researchers.

|Sue Stephenson||Fount Slaughter descendants|
Thank you for the work you do. I have just this week learned of Find a Grave and I am impressed with the information available. I wonder if it is possible to add descendants to a record. My grandfather was Issac Edmond (Fount) Slaughter. There are three descendants listed and there were actually four and perhaps five. One child died very young and I am not sure if she preceded him in death. Thank you again for your help.
