Bio Photo June,2015

Please do not leave transfer request or on my public messaging, they will simply be deleted. Its your responsibility to do it threw the memorial.

Rant: Only about 1% are leaving a simple thank you for photo's and transfers. That's the only thing we request back. Do you realizes all the work and expense that go's into this work and how ungrateful it seems not to receive a least a simple thanks. I think this is what's wrong with world today.

It is poor genealogical practice to allow others to use your information and photos with out credit why because they lose there source ,future researchers are robbed of that valuable resource and connection.

My photos are not up for grab, please read further in my bio. for use.

I'm getting a great amount of conflicting edits every week major changes require a source.( other than I will reject conflicting edits. Head stone markers take priority. I'm getting nasty emails for adding incorrect info. but actually its the edits changing info.

Requests and Transfers Please see below in my bio:

I have been a genealogist for 49 years and feel we owe it to those who have passed to preserve there memory and tell there story. For most of my entry's here Iv walked the cemeteries rolls and have more photos then I will ever be able to add. I have a collection of 100,000 + obituaries in eastern Ks. and western Mo contained in binders and now put them on flash drives of witch number about 10000 + . Many have wondered were my source is so there you are. I am the author of several books on my family and I and my cousin are the keepers of the family archive directors of the family reunion and am passing it down to my daughter. Iv been to cemeteries in at least 35 states tracking down my ancestors.

Messaging is not the way to make request or changes to a memorial use the edit tab on the memorial please. As a link is sent and many changes can be be made with approval from edit tab.

This is a very busy time for me it may take quite a while for a response.

No good deed goes unpunished. So true these days.

Fed up with the drama and hate on this site.

Everyone deserves respect.
Rude/demanding request will be reported and automatically rejected.

Sorry I have to sound so strict but the atmosphere on here now demands it.

On the other hand kindness and politeness will get pomp and priority attention.

If you need to contact me personally use my friend and mentors memorial.
Paul J. Lake

A great big thank you to the many hard working contributors & photographers we all owe you a great deal you are very much appreciated by me.

Quote from Jim Tipton Founder after Ancestry acquisition."It will still be wrong for someone to 'steal' a photo from Find A Grave and post it other websites as if it were their own".

Please remember my photos are embedded with a copyright. Request permission be for using any Head stone photos or cemetery photos. If I find them on another web site I will take action. None of my family portrait photo's are available for use at all.

Please do not leave transfer request on my public messaging they will simply be deleted. It is your responsibility to read transfer guide lines and to use the edit tab on memorial and state relationship if not stated request will not be considered. This is not a refusal it is your failure to follow Find A Grave guide lines.

Please include your member number. Also the public messages below are not intended to request suggestions or changes to a memorial because no link is generated to memorial when the edit tab on the memorial is used a link is sent so I know who you are talking about. Many new features are there also to actually add links and changes to a memorial with contributor approval.

It is not necessary to manage a memorial to add to it I am willing to add any information that is allowed & correct. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it. Virtual cemetery was created so family inveigles can be placed in them.

As many of my friends and I have noticed lately attacking and toxicity is now alarmingly on the increase dealing with this is not only stressful but time consuming and emotional & physically draining causing the following to be necessary.

If your message or email is rude, accusatory, bulling or harassing in any way it will be sent to find a grave. If it continues other steps will be taken.People attacking someone and hate mailing making false claims is unacceptable.

My advice is just troll along down the line, because one way or the other its going to stop life is to short to be harassed.

I've worked hard on this project for many long years as has many others members, I'm proud of my efforts ,any one says I'm in for the numbers is just sick or jealous or simply has a mean spirit.

Mistakes happen Find A Grave is a work in progress if you do not understand that you are WAY out of line.

Demeaning someone has no place anywhere. This does not mean you can not correct me, I make many mistakes and as long as your nice about it we will work together to fix them and move on.

As in the past most of you kind folks have done an exultant job.

Reporting A Duplicate. include the numbers of both and send it via edit on dup. memorial. If I duplicate a memorial, please know that it is unintentional as I check before posting.

The memorial pages I create are done so with the utmost respect as I try to always leave flowers and establish links.

I am now saving sir name searches before & after adding a memorial to a cemetery as proof it was the first entry, because many are using the non cemetery method and moving them in cemetery later.

Please use the edit tab and be very plain about your suggestion. I can not take an hour to figure out who and what you are talking about.

Marker transcription-- ONLY Marker transcription INFORMATION GOES HERE no other.

Confusing and non understandable request, I receive theses ever day please make them clear and don't assume I know who or what you are referring to.

No link no reply,I simply do not have the time.
Many edits I'm receiving are not correct, do the research do not assume. Due to this I'm going to start rejecting edits that are not sourced or do not match my information. I sorry but I'm tired of the misinformation I'm receiving.

Please do not use statements made here as ammunition to harass or bully as is the case anymore with some.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 61436479
I was trying to help the group working on this cemetery. When I typed in Vada's name and dates, there was no Vada Royal, but Vida Royer popped up on with the same dates. I checked it out. There are no parents listed on the d.c., the age was approximate on d.c. The 1910 census shows:
Frank H. Royer, age 38 (Frank Hugh Royer)
Belle Royer, age 36 (Ora Isabelle Wyatt/Royer)
Vida Royer, age 12
Loyd, age 8. (Lloyd Royer)

The 1900 census shows Ora giving birth to one child, with one living, but census taker failed to add the child to the census. She was their only child by 1900. Next child, Lloyd was born about 1902 - Vida and Lloyd are both listed there.

She is not living with them in the 1920 and 1930 census, probably because she has been instituted.

The lady involved in the cemetery program already knows about this and hopes to find her marker and add it to her page.

Chris Perry
That would be great. Chris Perry's name is on a large monument in Anderson,Kentucky honoring men serving in the Kentucky 5th Calvary. I would also like to have some type of overall photo of where he is buried. Many of my Family did not have enough money of have a Burial Marker. Carole

I don't know which Section of the Cemetery they were buried in. I just know that Frances died first in 1908. Is there a Section which was being used at that time perhaps for folks who did not have enough money for markers? Carole

I reposted photo requests for Christopher and Frances. Their Death Records state they were buried at Click Cemetery. But I understand that the 2010 Vernon Cemetery County found no marker at Click Cemetery. Will you please post an overall photo of the Cemetery's markers to give an general idea of what the the burial section of the Cemetery looks like. Thank you very much, Carole

Isaac Bennett, et. al.
Thank you Jarrott for the updates esp. bios. Isaac's looks clean and professional, which you have always been in my book. Some other people, you send bio info and they quickly blurb in a few words and don't bother to spell them right or put complete information, etc. Just don't care to keep the page looking nice in honor of the one who had lived (is being honored there at their burial site). I know I can trust you to make it look right. Thanks again, Lila

RE: R G Roberts
Roberts was reported to have been murdered. Some say by bushwhackers Some say Indians. His son in law was a reputed bushwhacker himself. Just looking for any available info. His wife was Elizabeth Crockett and I'm close to tying her to David Crockett. She remarried James Vernon from Linn Creek.

Jarrott, wondering if you had a chance to check further about my subject ancestor. We last communicated in February and you may not remember our conversation.

Lyman ODell
Thanks for letting me know. I'm wondering if his stone is really close to Sam and Rinda's....must be or you wouldn't have thought Lyman was an ODell. He did die young and the others all have their own least the ones I have found.

I see you have left flowers for her and her husband. Do you have any connection to this family? They are my husband's GGGrand parents. Bradley Sue Howell #46979664
