The death of my father has spun me into a journey into my family history. Grandma would go over photo's with me as a child which gave me my interest in photography. Her family did a genealogy book later in her years and I loved the information it contained. It's time for me to continue on and with the other sides. I've also indexed for Family Search as a volunteer. I know how important it can be to have a connection to your family. As a member I'd like to help out where I can. |
Who are all these people I do not know
What happened in your lives so long ago
Where did your lives drive you to go
I'm searching for you, do you know
As I look at this funny ole tree
I know where it's going...
It's going with me
Doing research on my family I visit plenty of cemeteries. I'll check photo requests before I go when available. Graves next to others can be possible links to the same family and I try to take those photo's as well so I may just add a photo here & there or add a person if I don't see them in the cemetery. I suggest on a memorial page something I found or possible links to other family members. I don't search out information on these families unless they are connected to mine. I'll leave that up to you.

Thank you so much for photographing David Bogert's stone. When you venture into the Wymore Cemetery again, would you be able to photograph the remaining 3 sides of the stone for me, please? I'd appreciate it.

Since a cousin is outside the mandatory transfer guidelines, I prefer to retain management of this memorial at this time.
I am always happy to make additions or corrections when sent via the edit tab.

I've created a memorial for Donald #100663892. As you will see I had additional information on him, just hadn't gotten it done yet. Also found Emma's middle name spelled Belle in my reference book on the Finkenbinder side, after an Aunt Carrie Belle.
My g grandfather, Martin Finkenbinder, was a brother to Emma. My late Grandmother and cousins did a book back in 1991 on the Finkenbinder and Werkheiser families, which I have a copy of. I would be glad to share info. with you. Just let me know who you would like more info. on.
Thanks for adding the photos.

You're very welcome. And, yes, I didn't find any marker for Joseph on the day last June when I visited Riverview, however, the map shown me by a cemetery staff person indicates his grave is right next to Julia's.
Today, I added the GPS to Joseph's Find A Grave memorial, in the caption below the LaBross monument photo, something I should have done last June.
I hope you were able to get some help locating or replacing the John Frundt (Civil War Veteran) marker at Oakland. I'd love to see it when it's located or replaced and would be honored to photograph it for you, as you wish.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season, starting with Veteran's day this coming week!
