|I've always been fascinated with grave sites, visited cemeteries, made rubbings, took photos, etc. and must say that find-a-grave is an ideal site.|
I've worked on family history projects for over 30 years and will for as long as I can. I'm more than happy to share family history with anyone interested.
The primary names I research are STROOPE, Kea, Pitts, Howton, Trammel, Hopper, Hale, Thetford, CARPER, Barton, Lyon, Phipps, Griffith, Ellison, Shumate and many allied lines.
When I document a grave site, I try to include some information on the parents, siblings, marriage, etc. hoping this will help someone idendify their relative. In some cases, when recording my line, or lines, I've created memorials for as much of the cemetery as I've had access to.
I'll be glad to transfer your family member to you. Always remember the FAG # for the memorial page and, of course, your FAG #. PLEASE do not send me a big list of names with no numbers included... thanks
If I have grave site information in error, please contact me so that corrections can be made.
Recent projects include:
--Resthaven and Lovington Cemeteries, Lovington, Lea Co, NM
--Mount Calvary Cemetery (Santa Barbara Cemetery) in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, NM
--Riverside Cemetery in Vassar in Tuscola County, MI
--JCC Smith Cemetery in Texas
--Gig Harbor Cemetery and Haven of Rest Cemetery, Gig Harbor, Pierce County, WA
--Knight of Pythias and Sunset Lane Memorial Park, both in Port Orchard, Kitsap County, WA

|Jay Chew||Treva Gillig|
THe National Cemetery data base has no record of Treva being
buried in any of the National cemeteries. Would you mind removing the photo request till you have more information on her burial.

|WhitLinColPur||Stroope and Colbath|
I'm a descendant of Col Winthrop Colbath who married Nancy Stroope abt 1819 Clark Ark.
I believe your William T Stroope, son of John P
and Lebania Alsup Stroope is a descendant of Henry
and Olive Colbath Stroop. Olive was a daughter of
Col Winthrop Colbath.
Do you have this information in your family
If this is correct, do you have information on
John P Stroope's brothers who are listed on the
1850 census in Bastrop, Texas with their dad, Henry and grandfather Winthrop Colbath next door?
I've had a difficult time finding information and
my information ran our about 2 years ago until
I began looking again today and found your find a grave site.
New Braunfels, TX

Thank you so much for photographing this grave. I believe it is my great grandfather or a close relative of his.
I have conflicting info. John Keplinger Orendorff is my grandfather. His mother is Katie Catherine McPherson Keplinger, but his father, I thought, was David Shepperd Orendorff. You have one of Katie's children as Harry S. Orendorff and his father as Davis Orendorff. David S. is close to Davis. Which do you think is correct?

Doesnt appear we are after the same one...My Thomas Filson 1848-1874 buried in Point Salubrious married Hannah Jones 1849 - 1870/1909...I have his parents as John M Filson and Margaretha Miller, from Virginia and New York, respectively. His known siblings are George, Nancy Margaret, Jane Elvira, Robert, Mary E, Julia and Rachel Filson.
If I can be of further help - let me know...DOnna

|Karen Geier-Hoskins||RE: Carl Joseph Geier/Mabel Geier|
Yes, the dates match up as far as we know.
We are uncertain of Carl's subsequent wives (Ina Mae Burnworth, Mae Murray, Mabel G. Geier).
Thanks for any insight.
|Karen Geier-Hoskins||Carl Joseph Geier/Mabel Geier|
Carl Joseph Geier was my grandfather. He was born in Kansas, but we have conflicting b/d dates. He was first married to Lalla Marie Butterfield in 1921, and they had my father, Rodney Merle Geier, their only child, in 1929. He passed away April 12, 2006.
I am interested in whether Carl's later marriages produced any children. Are you aware of any family tree charts that might show Carl's history after his divorce from Lalla? We know he married Mabel G. Geier, and also possibly Ina Mae Burnworth.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Kathy, I am not related to the Huggins Family. I love the history of Edward Huggins.

You're welcome. I no longer live in WA so anyone else you are researching I'll be more than happy to transfer them over to you.
|Judy D||Lee Roy Schoettler|
In the Mt. View Cemetery listing for Lee Roy F. Schoettler, there is an error. Lee Roy was never married to Alta Pharherr. Her husband, Leroy A. Schoettler was born in Indiana. He appears with Alta on the 1930 census in California at the same time that Lee Roy appears with his wife Ruth in Tacoma, WA. Lee Roy was born in Illinois. We have his line well-documented. Lee Roy had only two children, Shirley and James L., both by his wife Ruth D. Sadd.
