I started working on the family trees with my parents when I was a little girl and the interest seems to have stuck around. Not only do I collect information about my various family lines but like a good conversation, my file has meandered to contain information about families attached to mine.|
The lines that I'm currently working on are Daley, Martz, Bowie, Cheshire, Resch, Redekopp, Bruynooghe, Hazzard, MacDonald, MacIntyre, MacPherson, Turnbull, Kyme, Bolan, Kinney, Homan, Maschke, Zieminek, Prestlien and many more connected to them. :)
I have taken pictures of headstones of my family for years when I find them and have just recently started taking pictures of entire graveyards when I have the time to do so. My new husband likes quiet excursions, so while I take pictures of graveyards, he reads and naps. He loves it! :)
I will post any picture I have, it just takes a little time due to cropping pictures and life in general. If there is a stone in the cemetery that I have problems reading it'll be listed at the top of the cemetery interments with a first name of "unknown". Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a correction to a memorial, have extra information you wish me to post into a memorial or would like to have the memorial transferred to you, just please use the "edit" tab in the upper corner. Also, please contact me if you have a better picture of a memorial and I'll remove the bad one. I do admit that I am not a Karsh in the making... I promise, I'll get to all requests as soon as I can. :)
Besides the smaller cemeteries that I'm currently visiting I'm also slowly working on Queen's Park in Calgary. Unfortunately it'll take awhile but I'll do my best. :)

Hi, I would love to add this photo to my family tree on Ancestry.com with the photo credit to you of course. Please let me know if you object to this or to let me know how you would prefer the photo credit worded. Thanks so much.
I was so happy to find this relative of my husband. I had been searching for this branch of the family for some time.

Thank you Jessica!
I just wanted to thank you for all your effort in taking pictures so others can enjoy them and add them to their tree. I too do the same thing for others. I got most of my home town cemetery photographed as well.
I saw you gave permission for others to use were pictures on their tree so I just wanted to tell you that I also going to use your pictures. I will give you credit for taking the pictures.
I am like you, I enjoy going to cemeteries. I grew up next to one and it was bike path since I lived on a busy road. My great uncle was the caretaker and I use to go there and talk with him. Sometimes he would share his lunch with me. Oh, the fond memories I have.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your time and pictures with all of us. There is one contributor that won't let you post any pictures he post. That is to bad as he is missing the true meaning of this site. It is not how many pictures you post, it is the love for others and to help others.
Thank you and God Bless

I searched the http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/search.php database and searched for Dorothy's date range. It came up with the last name of Wright for all three on that stone. I suggested edits on them so you'll see the memorial numbers on those.
I meant Ronald J. Porter, not Robert.

I was at Queens Park Cemetery today taking pictures and I see you beat me to it on this one! If you wanted to get more specific with the location of this grave, it's Section A Block 3.

Just wanted to say a very big thank you for transferring Barbara to me. I just got back from photographing the cemetery I'm working on and it was a very wonderful surprise. Hugs! -Margo-

Jessica, Thank you so much for posting this photo. I actually visited the cemetary last summer looking for this and could not find it. I guess we paced off the rows incorrectly or something. With your permission I will add it to my family tree.
(Granddaughter of Frank Manning, Jessie was his first wife)
