I am a Mother of five, a third order Franciscan Sister, and a retired science teacher living in Ludington, Mason County, Michigan. |
I transcribe and clip old newspaper death notices from the Ludington Daily News archives and Photograph the graves at local cemeteries. I am creating a digital file of these for the local library and am adding them on this site for your personal - family use, feel free to copy my work for that purpose.
Hope it helps.

Obviously, I am not looking atfindagrave often enough. I will make the transfer as soon as I get on a PC. I am using a tablet, which is difficult for me to maneuver and leaving for a week for work, so it could take a few days.

I'm not sure. I received this info from another contributor. Dufault is a name found in Canada. I am sorry I do not have more info for you. Thank you for finding the obit. It is very interesting!

These Roussin folks are cousins to me. The article about Joseph Roussin buried in the Pere Marquette Cemetery is very useful. Harold Roussin was my great uncle. Would you happen to know where the shoe shop on S. James St. in Ludington is located? I am a member of Find a Grave. I have been looking on this site for four years. I used to work in a historical Library archiving marriages, deaths and births and photos. It was an enjoyable hobby. Hope I can help out on this site. Thanks.

I've often wondered how people get listed in two cemetery lists. Maybe they had planned to be buried there, but decided not to. Anyway, I deleted both of them.

Hello - this Bruce you speak of is he one who has passed away in Indianapolis? If so I would love to have more information regarding him. Yes, I have gone back one more generation on Levi - George Hammond. I saw today that his memorial is not processed so I just added him and linked Levi to him. I have the photos of the tombstones, but will have to come back to upload them to the site. So, did you link your grandmother to your neighbor Bruce? I do have more on the Hammonds; I also acquired a book on the Hammond families so perhaps who you are looking for would be in there.
Look forward in hearing back...email instead of here if you'd like!
