Bio and Links
Bio Photo THIS IS A HOBBY not my LIFE!!!
I Have been researching Family lines for over 35 years.
In the SAME light.. this is NOT a Genealogy Research project this is about the Cemeteries!!!
while I like to get more info and do link ups and maybe a SHORT BIO page on the Person that lists an Obit and maybe little more, It is UNNECESSARY to put clips from census and other large documents and 'family histories' into the Bio. this really is NOT the place for your Genealogy Family Research to be STORED.(that is what the GENEALOGY WEB SITES ARE FOR! NOT HERE!!) PLEASE USE ANCESTRY OR FAMILY TREES for your data.. this is where the obits and short histories and locations of burial sites should be done.. family links are NICE and helpful to the genealogist... but I have found that they are NOT always right! having the obit to prove helps... (I myself have had supposed family members give me DIFFERENT links for the parents of one memorial.)
[FAG: "the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have MEANINGFUL, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."]

Regarding Transfers: PLEASE READ FINDAGRAVE's TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS before requesting a transfer.
IF YOU ARE DIRECTLY RELATED (read FAG DEFINITION! does NOT mean Every cousin, Aunt or Uncle! or DISTANT family member!) to someone that I have entered and wish to request to have them transferred to you.. please USE THE EDIT tab on any memorial to make request. PLEASE!~ USE THE EDIT FEATURE TO REQUEST EACH ONE ~
PLEASE!~ USE THE EDIT TAB FEATURE TO REQUEST changes ~ I do not respond to "notes" left on this page for requests NOR do I respond to direct emails.
PLEASE NOTE.. CHILDREN ARE HOOKED UP BY LINKING THE PARENTS on CHILDREN's memorial. GIVING ME A LIST OF THE CHILDREN to "link" to the parents WILL Get you NOTHING. (I may not "own" their memorials in the first place)

Regarding Duplicates: (actually FAG policy is NO DUPLICATES) It is not my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the EDIT tab and let me know. I'll be happy to look into removing it. Please don't create a duplicate of my memorials; I would rather you ask for edits. Duplicates are the ones with the LATER date or number.

Regarding Messages: (PREFERRED) Please contact me USING THE EDIT feature in any memorial. I don't always respond to "private" messages.

A BIG thank you to those who send SHORT personal Bio, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions that I love to Add.

{I reserve the RIGHT to delete ANY comment left on this page at ANY TIME!}

as of late I've been getting RUDE DEMANDS to remove my listings.. PLEASE REFER TO FAG RULES!!! if you can't be polite I won't listen to you!

Family Trees
I totally agree with you about people using this site for storing their family tree information. I have had people to sign up for this site and immediately ask for transfers. They aren't contributing anything themselves. Another thing that bothers me is death certificates showing up on memorials.

Ms. Gathright,

I would like to get in contact with Susan Cole. I see on her profile she has disabled messaging due to spam. Would you happen to have an email for her? I would like to contact her about a mutual ancestor.

Thank you,

RE: Lucy Jane Poole Evans
So happy you replied and shared that information. Exciting to make a connection! I have a copy of the red Moran, Gardner, wheeler, and Herndon book. The corrections must be in Mrs. Evan's other book that includes the Evans line. I think my dad (WIlliam Evans Watkins, grandson of Grace and BB Evans) has a copy, I am sure he must. If you tell me the corrections and page numbers, I'll happily make note of them. I am not surprised you found some inconsistencies, the research process during that time must have been somewhat difficult without the Internet! I 'm finding lots of inconsistencies in records posted online , mostly the handwritten census records that prove difficult to read. Please tell me your connection to Lucy Jane Poole. Obviously you are descended from her first husband. The story of Mr.Evans and his many wives and children is rather interesting. I think I saw that he had over 20 kids. It's hard to fathom such a big family. You can email me, if you'd rather, at nwatkins2019@gmail dot com. I'm just getting the hang of this page.

Lucy Jane Poole Evans
Lucy Jane and EM Evans were my gg grandparents. Their son BB Evans (m Grace Moran Evans) is my g grandfather. Mrs BB Evans spent much of her later years researching genealogy and published books on her family lines. I casually browse here and there and look up people. Thanks for your work and postings. I'm always amazed at the number of children these families had and how common it was.

RE: update
Glad to help out. This was my third expedition to the cemetery, and I was happy to see it looking a bit better. I get out to St Louis once every few years for a conference, and the hotel is right next door to the cemetery. Bothers me that the history can so easily be forgotten--but the cemetery where my great grandparents are buried in Massachusetts is in not much better shape (they do at least mow occasionally), so I want to help out other families in similar circumstances. It was really rewarding to find your family member--as I'd been trying for that one for a while. It was the 5th or 6th one I photographed, actually, so that was a nice surprise--it is very close to the gate on the west side (by the Renaissance hotel). It seems section 9 was recently cleared and mowed, so that helped a lot. Hoping some other volunteer with find the rest--if they are there. But there were more sections cleared this year, so there is always hope.

I know you are busy, but when you have a minute. You did the site for her. Where did you get Freeman as her maiden name? I found a marriage for her as Dollar for a maiden name.
Thank you for all you do.

infant adams in Old Lapile Cemetery
I am wondering about the death date of Dec 11th 1891, Minnie and James weren't married until 1894 and the date on the headstone really looks like 1897. Am I seeing it wrong?
I am sorry if I am wrong I will take the headstone off.
