Carl Taylor - Lincoln Cemetery
Hi Bobbie,

Take a look at memorial (115056466). I think that this may be the same person as your memorial (95911372). The marker is newer and may be a replacement for the original marker, which could explain how Carl is now Carl T. Taylor instead of Carl Lee Taylor.

I found Carl Taylor's death certificate. It is Tennessee certificate 57-27710. He was born in TN on 9/4/1907 and died 11/10/1957 in Fayetteville, Lincoln County, TN.

Just passing some information along.

Sincerely,

Dawn Curtis

Moses McCarter Find A Grave Memorial# 95864174
Hi Bobbie,

Moses McCarter is my 5th great grandfather. I have a couple of questions about the dates you've posted. You have a birth date as 1717 in Scotland. I haven't been to pin this down so I'd appreciate any proof that you may have to substantiate it. You have listed Feb 1, 1787 as his death date. His will was written Feb 25, 1787, proven on Jan 9, 1788 and recorded on Jul 9, 1788. I am curious as to how you arrived at his date of death since it is before his will was written.

I think it would be very fitting if you were to add the following to your post:

"Moses McCarter was a Patriot of the American Revolution and served with Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox who is the father of of today's Army Rangers, along with three of his sons, John, William and James."

I joined the Sons of the American Revolution several years ago and Moses McCarter was my Patriot Ancestor and have amassed a sizable amount of research about him which I'd be more than willing to share.

Regards,
Phil Jackson

John and Mary Billingsley and family
Hi There,

I am researching the Billingsley family - John (memorial #120665328) and his wife Mary and their children. My GGGrandfather George Vinson was put into "apprenticeship" in 1856 with BF (Benjamin I believe) Billingsley and is found living with John and Mary for many years. I have also found him mentioned in their son James will. We have no info on him prior to 1856.
You seem to have lots of info on the Billigsley family and I was wondering if you were willing to share? :-)

thanks!!
Erin

Mary Jenkins Arthur
Mary Jenkins Arthur was the daughter of Amos Jenkins and Elizabeth Huddleston. John Jenkins was never married to Elizabeth, she was instead, his mother. This information came to me from a Marrs Family descendant who has the Marrs Family Bible.

Mary and John were brother and sister, not father and daughter.

RE: Lillie Mae Peyton Stewart
Sorry just now replying. In the military and life has been busy. I would like the obituary very much. I snapped some pictures of her and my grandfathers gravestone when I visited.

Thanks for the help,

Rusty

John Jenkins
Do you have a marriage date for John Jenkins and his second wife, Jane McGeorge?

And just a note. John and Elizabeth were not the parents of Mary Jenkins Arthur nor Sarah Jenkins Blake. Both Mary and Sarah were John's sister. They were the children of Amos Arthur and Jane?.

Mary Houston Billingsley
In reference to New Hope Methodist Cemetery burials, I have John Billingsley married to Poly Hale. My source is the Washington County, Tennessee, Marriage records. Their marriage license reads John Billingsley and Poly Hale, March 6, 1819. Married March 18, 1819. I don't know if John was ever married to a Mary Houston at any time, but it was not March 18, 1819. Do you have a different source?

William Evans
I am trying to prove that William Evans is the father of Rev. Richard Evans. Can you give me proof? Was William Evans born in Wales? Who was his wife?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
