RE: Durst Cemetery, Leon Co.
James - The Durst Cemetery is surrounded by private property. You must drive up the private drive. The gate to the cemetery is on the left at the end of the drive. I have never had a problem with the owners of the land, but I always go to the house and ask permission. The last time I was there the then new owner was very enthusiastic. He showed us around the property, pointing out the foundation stones for the original house, etc. He had researched the family property although he was not a Durst descendant. I do not know if he still owns the property. Many of the Durst descendants contributed money to install gates along the cemetery wall, to repair stones which had been toppled by cattle and vandals, and to maintain the property. Be sure to look outside the cemetery walls near the property fence for a burial mound and some headstones for a non-Durst family. Good luck, it is worth the visit!

Wollard Grave Pictures
Thank you, James for both Dessie Belle Davis Wollard and her son, William Cleveland Woolard grave pictures from Brandon Cemetery! They are both proudly on my family tree giving you the credit!! I noticed there were 2 memorials for Mrs. Wollard with the other as Bessie Belle Wollard. You have placed your picture on the correct memorial as her name was Dessie Belle!! Wondering if any other Wollards were buried there with them? Looks like the stones are fairly new compared to when they died.

Thank You,
Barbara Parker

Hi James, Roger's son named Curtis and dau n law Tisha. She is my daughter. I knew Roger. Been to his home on Hilltop a few times. Went thru the death of our grandson Jacob together. He was a very good man. We all miss him and Jacob everyday. If you would transfer the fotos to my memorial, I would rally appreciate it. They are always welcome.
Are the 2 cemeteries the same? I don't know.
