I have been a visitor to find a grave for some time and finally got up the determination to join just a little while ago. I have a digital camera and have threatened for quite some time to go around to the cemeteries in the Ohio Mercer and Darke County area and just go down the line, getting all of the tombstones. I like to take the pictures, not so much to put in the bios. If you have a bio that you would like to have put into any of the memorials that I have set up, please send it to me and I will put it in and credit it to you or if you prefer, transfer ownership over to you.
Most of the family tree info that I have is in Mercer County. I am trying to get the photos of the markers in so that the people will not go forgotten. If you have any info on any of the people that I have set up, please pass it along. For a lot of the people that I am adding, all I know is what is on the marker, I would love to have more info for the ones where all that I add is the info from the marker. When sending me the info, please use the edit tab and the suggest a correction.
Manerva (Grimm) & Gilbert Henry Brookhart Gravestone Oh...wow!! What a great job...Thank you for searching out all these graves, taking focused, clear pictures & having the patience & knowledge to upload everything to Find A Grave....Your time & efforts are truly appreciated....I have noted that a lot of my ancestors are from Lima, Mercer County, Ohio & I have gained so much personally from all the gravestones & memorials you have posted...this latest example helped me realize what her first name was spelled correctly!! & that the surname was Brookhart (not Brookheart)...Thank you... Happy Hunting...
William Harris My greatgrandmother Alma Victoria Harris Redman had a brother who is not listed with her and other siblings of Nathan and Mary Harris. A william Harris is listed in the Abbotsville Burials of 1942 May 19th. Could this be the missing sibling? William was married to a Clara Nash. Thanks Gary Unger
Ransom Denny All, I did ancestory.com last night and found out the Ransom Denny is my great grandfather to some degree. I was given his name but no family members on my dad's side could remember who it was that had it but after looking at my family tree I now know. My name is Rance Bryan. I have many family ties to Ft. Recovery. My dad. William M. Bryan used to own a service station on the west side of town until he sold it in 1963. I have family members buried in the Ft. Recovery cemetery. My uncle Meral Bryan and cousin Mitch who was his son. My uncle Marvin Mott and his wife Ruth Bryan-Mott are buried there also. I have a half brother who owns Warnock painting that resides in Ft. Recovery also from my mom's first marriage. Her name is Armatha Bryan. As a baby I lived on the state line and the house is still there today. My dad's mother is Myrtle Keller-Bryan who is tied to Ransom Denny.
Hathaway photos Thank you for the excellent photos! You are helping to sort out family mysteries. The Hathaways (that I'm seeking) are buried in Martin, Brock and Abbottsville. I'm particularly interested in Harvey Hathaway (b. 1834)whose death date and burial remain unknown to researchers.William is Harvey's brother...thanks again for the photos!
