I am a 10th generation descendant of Gabriel Baubau (also spelled Beaubeau, Babeau, Baubeau, etc.), who is believed to be the first Bobo immigrant circa 1700. He came from western France to Virginia under the headright system. For more information on the headright system click here.|
For documentation about Gabriel Baubau and his descendants click here.
Though Bobo is an uncommon name, there are thousands of us all over the US. It is absolutely amazing how quickly a family can grow from an original pair. Why, just look at the human family! Bobos have fought in every American war since the Revolution. One was awarded the Medal of Honor, and several are on the Viet Nam Wall.
PLEASE LEAVE ONLY THANK YOU NOTES ON THIS PAGE!! Send personal notes to email address below. Thanks.
Sadly of late it seems that Find A Grave has turned into Find An Obituary. I do not post obits word for word from the newspaper. First of all, out of respect for the living, and second because once the funeral is past it is old news. Yes, I post deceased relations and other pertinent information. I especially dislike scanned obits that are posted as photos of the individual.

Thanks for checking Hill Family Cemetery for Martha Walker. I was hoping her tombstone still survived, since there is a photo of her husband's, William.

You are welcome. I've had other Finadagrave members post a tombstone on a memorial that I created and didn't let me know so I could update. And I've had other Find A Grave member post a tombstone and/or send me info so that I could update. Thanks for all you do on Find A Grave.

Thank you so much for the photo of Sarah. John and Sarah are my children's 5th great grandparents. I am 84 years old and 18 years ago I found the graves of John and Sarah, but it was so overgrown, I was unable to actually see them. I have found photos of many of my ancestors on Find A Grave. What a wonderful site. I wish I was able to help by submiting photos. Thanks to all the wonderful people who take the time to do this!
