An attempt here is to shoot, enhance & upload monument photos... rather than blindly making new FAG profile entries that largely seem readily available from other online resources here in New York State. Statements be some that FAG is not a genealogy web site are flatly untrue, grossly understating and distorting the historical value of well prepared profiles. Here a rigorous attempt is made to enhance existing FAG profiles made by others with family links & related personal biographical information. Otherwise put, it seems more valuable to create quality rather than quantity in FAG profiles. Gratitude is extended to those significant contributors who readily transfer management of FAG profiles of related persons that may have added without holding good background data on the deceased individuals. A warm thank you to these many FAG contributors -- your efforts are strongly appreciated. Soldiers & Sailors, in particular Civil War Veterans, are another area of strong personal interest and a significant attempt is made here to better document their gallant service to the USA.

A project is completed to create new FAG profiles working from an unsigned & undated typewritten 16-page document (circa early-to-mid-1900's) entitled "Records Old Cem., Jefferson Village" (containing several 1950-1970's handwritten edits), a record found on file at the Schoharie County Historical Society at Old Stone Fort Library in Schoharie Village, NY. This record is the best known information available regarding Old Jefferson Village Cemetery. Among the 300+ burials at Jefferson Cemetery are our 4th Great Grandparents Isaac & Hannah (Smith) Odell, the local landowners and farmers who both passed away in 1840 at age 52 and age 50 -- leaving four minor children.

Jefferson Cemetery is located about 250 yards north of Main Street in the center of the Hamlet of Jefferson, Schoharie County, NY, USA. A narrow cemetery access is marked on Main Street by a small cemetery sign. Many of the 100+ previously unrecorded internment at F-A-G are the burials of infants, toddlers, and young adults.

Visitors are welcome and may freely use any of my growing public FAG contributions or information & photos under the educational "fair use doctrine" -- use any of my unaltered photos without additional permission or contact. My total intention in making FAG contributions and public tree information is to educate my current and unknown future descendants -- especially including very distant cousins.
