I checked the cemetery records and they aren't listed. I also ordered an obit from the library so let me wait until I receive that. Perhaps it will give the name of the cemetery....thanks so much for your offer.

Thank you for adding the grave site photos for Stella. Do you happen to remember if there are tombstones? The reason that I ask is because I have a photo of Stella and on the back it says..."Stella, Edith and Minnie died in Colorado and below that....later learned that Minnie returned to Michigan and is buried there". Also Edith was married to Frank P. Lombard and he was the Asst Postmaster and it is thought that he too is buried in the plot with Stella? Stella's husband, John W. Dickey remarried a Bessie I. Purves and I found them in the 1914 City Directory...Bessie was much younger than John....John was born in 1841...can't find death info for John....wonder if he died in Colrado Spring and is buried with Stella? Hope you can help me solve my puzzle. Thank you....Lora Hudson Treadwell
|Deb Hopkins||RE: Hastings - Thank you!|
I just wanted to let you know I found a newspaper article (no date or publication name on it) that gave me insight to the Hastings. It confirms my hunch that their death was due to the flu. Very sad. They had three children. Thanks again for all you do. Deb

Dear Ingrid - Thank you so much photographing the Hastings headstone. Can you direct me to a source for their obituary? I can find where they were married, and stories about when he was a pitcher for the Dynamite Dans, but nothing further. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. Deb
|letsgogirls||RE: Duplicate photos|
Thank you for letting me know of the duplicates I usually only leave a photo only if mine has better quality or if my photo has a closer view of headstone. I have deleted several, but decided to leave a few - if that does not appease you please let me know. Have a wonderful weekend! ~nani~
Marcellus Douglass, Robert Epler, Harriet Gebhart, James Greene, Elizabeth Notz - photos deleted
Myron Bigler - I deleted one photo, but decided to leave one photo
Norma Lumsden - I have decided that I will be leaving this photo since it shows DOD of her husband as well.
Willie Sommerville - I could not find anyone w/ that name, but Find A Grave might be over loaded so I will check back
John Stanley Jr - I deleted main headstone photo, but decided that since both our photos did not show base of headstone that I will be leaving the one that shows STANLEY.
John Stapp - I have decided that since your photo has a sun glare that I will leaving my photo to show the DOB

You did more then I hoped for and in a very timely manner. I really appreciate all you have done and I see my cousin-in-law also appreciated your effort on the Bridgman's. The picture you posted was beautiful! I hope to be able to help others who are looking for photos in the Toledo area. Plus when I visit a cemetery I usuall take pictures of markers in the area I've visited & try to post just in case someone out there happens to look for them.

What a beautiful picture. You must have really looked for a long time trying to find markers that don't exist. The photo you posted is a great tributr to them. I never thought to do anything like that for family in Toledo that do not have grave markers. Thank you ever so much for all you've done.
