Bio and Links
Bio Photo We are a couple of old Retirees and are always
looking for something to occupy our time.

We happend onto Find a Grave and got quite
interested. We are attempting to put as many
memorials from the Local Cemetery as we can.

We have worked with geneology quite a bit and this program seems to be right down our alley.

If anyone finds their relative that we have entered and would prefer to manage their own family just let us know and we will be glad to transfer them to any family member.
We do this to help others locate there loved ones and are glad to transfer any one that is not one of our family.

Anyone is welcome to use any photos that we have taken.

Dan & Barb

Dear Dan & Barbara,
Would it be possible for you to transfer my Grandma, Marjorie(Margie) Queen Davidson (Find A Grave#65770918) over to me as well as my grandpa. They are buried together in the same grave in Hillcrest Cemetery, LaGrange, OR.

Sincerely,
Patricia Wilkins Hankins (Find A Grave# 47887588)

Thanks for the photo and all the edits to the Swaggart family:) My cousin is married to a Swaggart and thus my interest. I also found a family tree with lots of photos of Swaggarts and the woman who owns that family tree has given me permission to use her photos. The photos were taken by Carl S. Wheeler who was married to Rosetta Swaggart and Ethel Swaggart. Carl was a well-known photographer in Pendleton. Carl and Rosetta are buried in Portland. I tracked them down and made memorials for them. It's an obsession:)

RE: Nancy Hall
Sorry Barbara, my mistake, William Titus Mershon is Nancy Mershon Wood Hall's grandfather. He is a great grandfather of Nannie Wood Quinn.

RE: Nancy Hall
Thank you so much Barbara. Nancy is my great-great grandmother. Nancy's daughter, Nancy "Nannie" Wood, is my great grandmother. Nannie Wood married Moses Quinn and had 12 children. Moses and Nannie are buried close to me at Greenlawn Cemetery in Groves, Texas along with my grandfather & grandmother, Carl & Katie Quinn as well as my father, Max Quinn.

Nannie Wood's grandfather is William Titus Mershon who fought in the American Revolution. He was in the same regiment commanded by George Washington and was in several famous battles.

Thank you so much for taking time out to track and input this valuable information!

W.B. Smith
Hi Dan and Barbara,

Thank you for posting those newspaper articles to W.B. Smith's profile. It's great to put a face to a name! I noticed that the articles had been clipped. Did you happen to know him or his son Willie Hermit Smith? I ask because my grandmother is Willie Hermit Smith's daughter. She never had the opportunity to know him and I am looking for information on him, such as pictures, what kind of a man he was, etc. Any information you have is helpful. Thank you so much for your time!

Thanks!
Devin

GURDANE
I think John S. Gurdane who you entered in Find A Grave was the brother of my great-grandmother who was Sarah (Gurdane) Hyde. His name is listed as a survivor in her obituary in 1909 in Racine, Wisconsin. I think he had a son who was sheriff in Omatilla Co. in the early 1930s but I have no further info. Thanks for entering his name on Find a Grave.
