Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love to research my family history. However considering I live thousands of miles away from where the majority of my family lives/lived I became aware very early on how important volunteers are in locating information over the miles.

I transcribed my first local cemetery in 2002 in hopes of helping loved ones miles away locate their family buried in East Tennessee. I have once again picked up this hobby and am enjoying adding pictures to the site.

If I have entered one of your family members and you would like for me to transfer it to you please click on the "edit" button on the memorial and then send your request under the "make correction suggestion" tab. Please make sure you include your contributor code with the request.

Tinsley and extended families
Thank you so very much for your part in Find A Grave. It is greatly appreciated. I started my genealogy journey in the 1980's and at that time I visited many cemeteries seeking my families.
Today I am unable to do so due to age and health, but thanks to you and dedicated others I CAN visit them through all of your efforts. Thank you.
I hope you will not mind my making copies of your photos for my Ancestry and Family Tree Maker family files. I am trying desperately to get as much of my extended family on Ancestry in the hopes that all of my family and others can access their families and their heritage.
Thank you and God bless you for your willingness to help others.

Mary M Helton
Thank you for adding the photo of Mary M Clinton's grave marker in Third Creek Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee. She is my 2nd great-grandmother. Would you mind to give me the sources for your information as listing her parents as Levi Elkins and Sina (Cinay) Gibson? I have her parents as Levi Helton and Sina Jenkins. Any information you can provide to shed light on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Walter Griffin
May Cemetery
Can you help me locate this cemetery, listed to be in Knox County, TN? This is another Find A Grave Memorial without an address. I've been to Mays Chapel Cemetery that I found to be at 3315 E. Emory Rd. May's rail fence reminds me of Varner on McFall Rd., off Brown Gap Rd., off Highway 441, between Fountain City and Halls, TN.
I'm Walter Griffin in Knoxville, TN and received a request 25 Oct from Curt Adams to photo the gravestone of Sarah Baker. Find A Grave indicates that May is within 3 miles of my zip 37912. Curt has no info on the location.
I see that you have submitted photos taken there.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you, Walter Griffin
