Born/raised in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Lived in Southern California for 30 years and have now returned to Morehouse Parish. Since I was little, I've been facinated by the 1922 cold case of Filmore Watt Daniel/Thomas Fletcher Richard. Their deaths/aftermath helped prevent the growth of the KKK in the 20's.|
I'm happy to share what KKK info I have with anyone else. From the Family History Club, I have:
"The Murders of Mer Rouge" by John Rogers
"The 20th Century KKK in Morehouse Parish" by Alton Earl Ingram.
"The Black Hood of the KKK" - Prof. James M. Ruiz
The Family History Club has given me copies of the newspaper clippings collected by Tott Davenport.
I have been documenting the families of Sisson, Harp, Daniel, Yeldell, Evans, Cheshire, Arant, Sims, Humphrey(s), Laing, Rainwater & Bowe. PLUS I dabble in several others.
I have a copy of Thomas Young "T.Y." Harp's "My Kinfolk: An Account of the Harps, Masoners, Runyons, Whitlocks, Flinns, Greens and Roberts." I'll happily send copies to anyone who wants one.
I am working with the Family History Club's publications, "Known Burials of Morehouse Parish" - Vol 1 & 2. I will happily transfer any of my FAG sites to family and friends of loved ones. You may use any pictures I've taken or posted.
I have started adding information to various FAG sites from Rebecca DeArmond-Huskey's "Bartholomew's Song" - many family histories are contained within it. I also believe that this book started Morehouse Parish people cleaning up the bayou. I highly recommend this book to you.
I have finished scanning the book "Men & Women in WWII from Lincoln, Morehouse and Union Parishes". I'm taking the pictures and the military info and adding it to the memorials I find. Let me know if I post something in error - or if I can share any of these scans with you.
THANK YOU to Larry Freeman who has provided more than 3000 pictures for me to post. Larry! You are a jewel!!!!

I would love to see Lousiana! The south is wonderful!
James Daniel is descended from the Capt William Daniel of Middlesex County, VA line. I found out from DNA testing that we are not related to that line, which was a real disappointment for me.
I have emailed Bonnie and hope to hear from her soon.
I am descended from Marmaduke. By any chance to do you have a document such as a will or probate record that proves relationship of our Marmaduke and William to Josiah Jr. as his sons?
I am in the process of pinning down with proofs just who is M's and W's father and who is their grandfather, just for starters.
I had assumed that we were related to the Middlesex Daniels and had faith that I would find a connection somewhere. We need proofs of who is whose father and mother. Too many mistakes, wrong dates, etc. Without proofs all is conjecture.
|Persia Gran-Freeland||Mortgage records for Josiah Daniel|
Do you know where the mortgage records for Josiah are to be found--under Jonas Josiah the page said.
I really, really need to prove presence in a particular county and family relationships if possible from the document. I cannot move ahead with confidence until I have each step proved.
I am so excited to know about these records!
If anyone has copies, would they please email me to let me know about them? I will happily pay for copies of same!
Phone number 253-274-5643

I hope to hear from you!
Memorial #56376318, see if you can combine this one with yours.

Bonnie, I am doing research on a number of families who are buried in Oak Ridge and have noticed that there are a number of duplicates which were posted by "Little Marie (#47904550)". It sure would be nice if the two of you could get together and have just one listing.

|J. Huck||Mrs. Walter Campbell|
I have been researching my Hanks line and found two WWI registration cards that list Mrs. Walter Campbell as a cousin and contact person. I'm trying to figure out her relation to these family members. Do you know more about Carra Hayden Campbell? One of the draft cards I'm looking at is for Jesse David Hanks (5 Jul 1905-6 Nov 1962).
I just received information from the Alabama Archives on Gayden P. Hanks that relocated to Morehouse County around 1840. Hard to read but interesting.

|Betty Raynor-Davis||Raynor Daniel family|
Hi Bonnie. My name is Betty Raynor and I have been researching my Raynor family for nearly 20 years. One of mine and your ancestors Matthew Raynor and his wife Catherine migrated to Tennessee along with Josiah Daniel. Matthews children later migrated to Louisiana and settled on the Mississippi in Prairie Mer Rouge and Bastrop. I would love to share family info with you and I also would love to get a copy of the kinfolk book you mentioned in your profile. I have never been in touch with anyone from the Matthew Raynor line through all my years of research into our Raynor lineage.Please send me an email. Thanks from your Carolina cousin.
May I have your permission to repost your Find A Grave photos (with attribution) to my family research site?
|455th AAA Historian||Edker Jake Wyatt|
If you should ever be able to find an obituary for him in a local libary, etc., please let me know. It may give even more clues about his service and what he did as an occupation later in life. I can add all that to my 455th AAA history. Thanks!
