RE: Sarah Ann Kelly Adams # 68241633
Hello Sharon

I am sitting here in Mer Rouge Louisiana with Miss Fay Bowe - whose info I used to set up the original Memorials for:
Sarah Ann Kelly Adams #68241633
William A Daniel # 70857930
Harvey G. Adams 71827875
Who are all buried in the Bonne Idee Cemetery in Morehouse Parish.

Miss Fay has a huge collection of family history and has many questions about the Kelly and Adams family.

Will you call ME at 714-773-2273 or email me at and I will be a go between.

Thanks a heap

Grave Whisperer
Jack Cox Memorial

I'm not sure where the links to the wrong parents came from. It's possible that the person who wanted them linked submitted edits and they were automatically added in 30 days after. Anyway, I've worked on his memorial and changed his name to John E as the census stated and noted who his parents were and siblings.
Thanks for the heads up.

Memorial 94268801 James Marlin
I think this James Marlin is one of my ancestors as well. I am descended from James Marlin born ab 1794 in Rutherford Co.,TN who married Nancy Taylor around 1816.They moved to Texas on land granted through the Robertson Colony, along with his brother John Marlin and his family. Their father was William Marlin, their mother was named Rachel William Marlin's father name was James and the description you wrote on this James Marlin's memorial leads me to this possible conclusion.

RE: Minerva Pounds Kellar # 35712698
Sherry, feel free to use the photo. I am only slightly related to Minerva C. Pounds but it is a relationship I am very proud of and researching it was really great plus I had a lot of help coming my way. Here is my lineage to Minerva.
Mary Alice Hendricks, my great grand aunt married William Benjamin Green who was the son of Francis Marion Green and Felicia Asenith Kellar. As you know Felicia was the daughter of William M. Kellar and Minerva C. Pounds. Hope that made sense. If you would like, I can send you a larger photo than the one on findagrave.

Abneys and Hicks
Hi Sharon,

I would like to compare notes with you on your Hicks connection. I have the Abney info way back for many generations, and I started the Society of Descendants of Lady Godiva about two years ago based on Dannett Abney being a "Gateway Ancestor" and connecting to many royal lines in England going back many centuries. If you want or need any more info on any of these lines, please contact me at

I noticed you have a Hicks line, and I do, also. My Hicks line is back to NC and to VA in the 1600s and 1700s. I would like to compare notes with you, if your Hicks line connects with the VA Hicks.

Logan County Records 1778
The indians, numbering 10,000 within a 200 mile radius of Nashborough,
continued firing upon the settlers causing numerous deaths and burning
their homesteads which made life very precarious on the Cumberland
frontier. A year after signing of the Comberland Compact, only about
one-forth of settlers remained. More than fifty had been killed and with
their crops destroyed, their cattle killed and their food and gunpowder
nearly depleted, the rest left for safer quarters in Kentucky. The following
court record in Logan Co. Ky., dated January 15, 1782,

Do you know if her last name is correct? I have a ancestor Archibald Marlin who married Martha Ferrier I am searching for his parents. He came here to Tennessee in 1778 with William McWhirter 1720-1802.
