|Bio and Links|
OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone. Rather than complain about someone's work...help them with it.
TRANSFERS: I transfer on a case by case decision. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back...please don't ask for a transfer of group surnames.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree. MY ONLY REQUEST IS THAT MY PICTURES AREN'T LIFTED AND PLACED ONTO A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL OR MEMORIAL LISTED AS UNKNOWN....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. I will gladly delete mine IF IT WAS CREATED AFTER YOUR MEMORIAL. Please keep in mind that some duplicate memorials are actually cenotaphs.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've given me.

#7213 - John Baptiste "John" Lepage is a 6th cousin twice removed of mine. My LePage line goes back to Rene and Madeleine (Gagnon) LePage who are my 7th Great Grandparents. Too cold lately to walk cemeteries so since there are so many LePage's in that cemetery I try to link them with my database and link them in FindaGrave. Doing corrections or additions when I can make a connection.
Most of my Lagace/Lagasse connections are distant cousins but none that I've found so far in my direct lines.

Hi Connie. I checked the child attributed on one of the pages to Clara Perry Burgess...that child is correct. Clara was my grandfather's mother, and Lisetta was his sister.

Thank you, I have seen that link. I prefer not to calculate dates because as you said, it could be one year or another. I would rather see some documentation. I am going to decline your edits, but I will make a note of the calculated date in their bio. I hope this is a satisfactory compromise.

Hi Connie....You left a message for me on my Find A Grave profile page. It took some doing but I found the 3 pages you referred to. Two of them have the name of the cemetery wrong. The correct name for where my great-grandmother is buried is the McPhail-Hix Cemetery in Ingraham's Hill, Owls Head, Maine. It's where all of my father's immediate family is buried. I don't know how to combine these 3 pages and I can't figure out how to delete the Mrs. in front of her name. I tried the edit page but can't delete it. Any suggestions?
Connie, I may have "created" the Hartland Cemetery... it's been a few years since I was there and I captured, then posted a good number of graves. Did you have a specific Question? Thanks
I received all of your suggestions for DOBs for several Dunham memorials. May I ask what your source was for these dates? I tried to verify a few of them and couldn't find anything. If you could point me in the right direction I would be happy to make the changes.

Hi Connie, ☺
Happy holidays. 🎄
I've removed the memorials I created in Brackett Cemetery. I created them 6 years ago, when I was 15. For the longest time the sign was taken down and I didn't know the name of the cemetery at the time. I can see now that it was redone.
|Kevin Enser||RE: Russell Kersch|
Amelia Theresa Enser was married to Ray Kersch, Russell's father. I have them linked. Amelia would be my 2nd cousin 1 X removed.

Hi Connie, Thank you for pointing that out. I will research this. They could be waiting for the husband to pass. Karen
