|I am related to most of the people whose memorials I manage. Therefore, if you are requesting a transfer, please indicate exactly how you are related so that your request will be considered. I am happy to transfer memorials for those I am not related to. |
All photos I have submitted to Find-A-Grave were taken by me and are therefore copyright protected. Copying and posting to other websites, especially Ancestry trees, without permission of the copyright holder is a violation of copyright law.
Some of the lines I research are: Armstrong, Ballard, Burks, Burruss, Cawthon, Clark, Copeland, Colley, Fears, Hopkins, Hutchison, Lanier, McKinnon, Mills, Moseley, O'Neal, Talley, Tye and Wilks.

No problem looking. I live beside the cemetery. It is just a matter of confirming with the office if I don't find a marker; being off duty when they are open. If some other relative is here or in Lyon County be sure to make a request and hopefully we'll have better luck.

You are welcome. I was hoping the 'stone might have been overlooked but sadly it wasn't the case.

Linda - thank you for the clarification. I have updated the memorial.
|Pamela Fowler||Fredrick Williams|
Well, it seams you are right. Thanks so much for letting me know. I have deleted the entry. I only had Fredrick buried there, not his wife. You can find Fredrick and Arribicah buried at Red Hills Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. His find a grave number is 46146827.
Now, about those Williams lines. Two of my cousins and I have been doing a lot of research also. They live in Texas and I live in SC. I have a book on the Williams family and that is where I got that he was buried in Red Hills Cemetery. I even went back and checked but I guess the woman that wrote it meant Red Hills Primitive Baptist instead of just Red Hills. Have you done any DNA test? All three of us have through Ancestry.com and the two of them have also done 23 and me.
Do you have any information on Fredrick and family that you can share? You can email me directly at email@example.com We are probably distant family.
Thanks so much for all your help, Pamela

[Send Reply] Correction death date
I have a copy of the obituary for Atchafayla Gregory Grace, who is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida. The obituary was run in the Gainesville Sun. The actual death date is September 9, 1916. She died at Ocheesee, Florida, in the old Gregory house (now at Torreya State Park, in Liberty County, FL) and her body was taken by train to Gainesville for burial in the Gregory family plot.

Hi Linda -
Before Gary died he asked me to handle all the photos he added to Rose Hill Cemetery. I gladly said I would. After he died, I contacted F.A.G. and told them of his wishes. F.a.G turned me down. That hurt. He started to transfer me some of which started with the "A" in their surnames, but he just could not go any further. I didn't know Gary but he did so much in Rose Hill. I still feel very bad about this. You'll have to contact F.A.G. about any you have in Rose Hill.

Happy to have made the transfer! After all, that's why I do this - to get them with their families! YAY!! Transfers make me happy!

That was odd--probably I got sidetracked after cross-checking my list against what was there, and by the time I got the spreadhseet submitted (plus it sometimes took a couple days for those to be accepted...) the others must have been added. I think I got them all--but if you see some more just let me know. Thanks.

Linda if I ever decide to stop working on Find A Grave I will be more than happy to transfer the memorials to you.
hey I think the birthdate for Mary E Clark is wrong. I recently posted a picture of the tombstone and it has a different date. I live near the cemetery and have a lot of the family history. I will be glad to help with anything.
