|Please feel free to copy, borrow, re-post any of my photos. Unlike many others, I do not consider myself the "owner" of any of these photos, especially photos of ancestors. I am merely the lucky one who came in to them and feel the only thing we "own" is a responsibility to share them with all the other descendants that share parentage. |
I also believe in the preponderance of negative evidence. Meaning that (after exhaustive research) if there is no evidence indicating a different burial location for the spouse of a man or woman and they were known to have died in the same location, chances are that it is much more likely that the spouse who's grave is unmarked is buried alongside the spouse who's grave is.
I think people get obsessed with proving a burial location and not taking into account ages old burial traditions and thinking, "well, if there's no headstone, they must have been buried someplace else." Wrong....
Happy sharing and hunting!

Thank you for your permission to use your photos, Robert. I appreciate it.

Thank you not only for the many tombstones and memorial photos you've put on FindAGrave but also for the wealth of additional information you've shared....obits, death certificates and such.
Those are a boon to those of us not in the area and unable to search undigitized info.
That said, may I please have your permission to include the photo of the tombstone of William Ellsworth Stewart and his wife, Fireda, on my Ancestry tree pages for them. Of course, I would give you photo credit as well as much gratitude.

Hi Robert - You are welcome for the pics. I have been slowly working at photographing the cemetery. I think I am 75% done now. There are many unmarked graves...

Thank you for the edit request. I processed it. Just a reminder, or in case you don't know, I thought you might like to know that I transfer out of guidelines. If you would like custody of any memorials I manage please submit an Edit request using the "Suggest any other correction or addition" option. If I am not related I will transfer. Thank you!

George Tarr, Jr. married Lydia Lamey (1820-1885) in 1840. Lydia died 14 July 1885 and I do not find a record of her burial.
You have a George Tarr, Jr. memorial 89505297
Do you have information about Lydia Lamey Tarr?
George and Lydia are my 2nd great grandparents.

Thank you so much for creating this profile within Woodlawn Cemetery. My name is Brian Chelton and she is my 3rd great grandmother. I assume you know but in case you do not her name was Sally. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a copy of the obituary you have posted for her. I am barely able to read it and would like to have a copy if possible as I am not sure I have ever seen it before. If not I totally understand. Thanks again.

I have done so. Thank you so much for your kindness and consideration!

Hello. Another contributor called to my attention that I had a site for Caroline Yarian under burial unknown which was for the same person you have listed in North Benton Cemetery under her married name (which I didn't know) Caroline Ringwald. I added the cemetery to my site and would be glad to resolve the duplication with you in any way that you may suggest.
Thanks and good wishes,
