"Mattie Thompson"
I found a stone for "Hattie Thompson" in Woodlawn Cemetery. The birth and death dates you gave matched exactly so I uploaded Hattie's picture to Mattie's memorial. Let me know if Mattie and Hattie are not the same person and I'll remove the picture.

Allie and Obediah Thompson
I took the request for photos and will be posting them as soon as I can get back down to the cemetery. We had a family emergency and I had to be there. So sorry for the wait!

Find A Grave Memorial# 11400214
I have searched Old Harmony Cemetery, Rainbow City, Etowah Co., AL, for Paul Black's grave for over a year and still have not found it. It was not included on the Old Harmony Cemetery survey either. Since there are no dates, I was unable to find an obituary in our local newspaper. If you have any other information, please advise. I have posted hundreds of tombstone photos for Old Harmony. ngl

Dolores Hawkins
Dolores was found with her 1st husband, Calvin Davis, and under the name Davis. There are no Hawkins in the Greenlawn directory.

John & Allie Black @ Mexia
I got your note the other day and the kind words on my helping you with your project on the Blacks.
I appreciate what You had to say and appreciate the remarks.
As to John & Allie, all the records that I found put them in Section A. Since the records are "wrong", I was unable to find them.
I was in Austin, Tx over the weekend and it kept bugging me that they eluded me, so, on the way back to Hubbard today, I swung by Mexia Cem.
I took a little leg work but I finally located them, they are in Section F, -not- A.
I have the fotos and they will be posted shortly.

It looks like the only one without fotos is Mell.
I went back and looked at the Black's fotos in section B: It shows, in order for markers, Maybelle, James Oliver, (vacant space) then J.O.
I didn't recognize the connection when I took the fotos and had no reason to check the vacant area. I have the ability to find human remans underground and can tell if they are male, female, adult, chile or infant.
The reason I am telling U this is, since this is your request, if I go back out and discover an adult female in that location, do U want me to post it as her location given the people that surround that spot, ie: known family members ???
I should have picked up on that when I was out there last week but it slipped by me.
The current registry for the cemetery was made back in the 80's so naturally Nell would not appear on it.

Nona & Dan Edd @ Mexia
Up late, nothing on cable so I went ahead and added them.
Use the "edit" function to tie the players together.
Until 5 am tomorrow morning, gone,
Oh yea, that was the first time that I was over to the cemetery @ 8 am to avoid the Texas heat and humidity, won't do that again, the shadows and camera fakeouts with the sun made for really bad fotos.

Mexia Cem.
Your list contains 14 names. What I can't locate on the registry, I research at the library.
Of the 14 names, I was able to locate and photograph 10 or so, about 70 %.
I live out in the country and am hampered with 14K dial-up so foto entries take a little while.
I also get up around 4 or 5 am, do a little input ,then repeat the process another day.
The point, it will take me a while as I do this over my morning coffee. This is FYI so you don't wonder what is taking so long ........

Black surname, Mexia Cem
OK, U made your case. Thanks !!!!
Right now here in Texas we are being hit with a lot of rain, at least for the next several days, so as soon as it clears, I will go over to Mexia and fill all the requests that I am aware of that you have posted. You have made your case and I appreciate that. I won't pick them up until I can fill the requests, but they will be taken care of.
Respectfully, James Coston

Black surname, Mexia Cem.
Hello Steven,
A quick question on the Black surname. I noticed that U have listed over 230 requests and U have just posted a bunch of the Black surname in Mexia cemetery & U have only been on findagrave for 7 months or so.
That's a lot of people in a short period of time.
I already know where 10 or so of the Blacks that U listed are because I have been walking the cemetery for years. Since your bio is "blank", I can't determine if U are related, doing genealogy or maybe this is a commercial venture so fill me in. Gas is $3.60 a pop, would I be assisting U personally or helping your business if I make a special trip over there ??
I got his notice because Mexia is listed on my favorites ..........

Donald black marker
uploaded pictures of the marker for you. I gave the person who claimed it almost 2 weeks to fulfill the request but they haven't do it yet so I went ahead and uploaded. I live less than two blocks from this cemetery.
