My ancestors settled in northeastern Indiana in the 1830s and I am still here. I especially like old obituaries and newspaper clippings, and of course, cemeteries. |
I generally follow the transfer guidelines as outlined by Findagrave. I try to get updates done quickly.
Exceptions: I often take photos when we go on vacation, so if I have a memorial that is not in NE Indiana, I am normally more than happy to transfer it as I have no plans to do research in those areas.
Thanks to all who have sent additional information for the memorials. Time does not allow me to thank each of your personally, but please know that the additional information is greatly appreciated.

The 1850 Census Perry, Allen, Indiana is transcribed on ancestry.com as:
Henry K Lewis 36 F New York (Hannah K or Henny K)
Parker Lewis 9
Matha Lewis 7
Eugene Lewis 5
Alonzo Lewis 3

The marriage is on familysearch.org including a photo of the record for Stephen B Lewis & Hannah K Parker.
Here is the link:
I stumbled on this family by accident while looking for a Parker Lewis (like their son) who married a Stokes in Carroll Co. My Parker turned out to be Parker Lucas (not Lewis) of Carroll Co, IN
Happy hunting, Suzy

Interesting! When I click for the larger view they are right side up! So, any idea of how I can fix it?

Just thought I'd pass this on, but according to Hubbard's inscribed Headstone, and passing away at the age of being 81Y-4M and 14Days old. He was born Jan 23, 1815, according to the Age Calculator.
Hubbard, supposedly was married to my 2nd G-Grandmother Mary L. AUSTIN - Potter- Nickerson - DePew, in Sept of 1870.
Thanks for your time..
|Mark McCrady||RE: Obituaries|
Sorry if I mislead you about posting obituaries. Find a Grave does allow the posting of them, although they don't encourage it, but I post them myself. What they do not allow, is photocopying them and then putting them up as a photograph. If you are going to add obituaries, they must be typed and put in the Bio section, not photocopied and put where photos are. Sorry if I confused you!

|RDL||RE: Memorial #62198041|
I made an error in the memorial number!
It should have been #50337383.
There are still two memorials for the same person (#62198041 and #50337383). Sorry for the mistake!
