We lived in Dallas, Texas, but May 2011 moved to Huron, Ohio. Have three children and eight grandchildren. As of November 2013 the oldest is 24 and the youngest is four years old. Six of these are boys and two are girls. Being a grandparent is the best. |
Really enjoy doing genealogy and finding long lost relatives, both living and dead. I have a huge database of "cousins."
I am researching Sanders, Martin, Cacy/Casey, Jump, Eidson, Schooley, Williams, Mimms/Mims, Arnold, Eblen, Sorrels/Sorrells, Friend, Bean, Pettet, Henthorn, and many more. All of whom I owe for making me who I am today.
And the Beebe and Edberg lines: Weis, Biggs, Kear, Zollinger, Stewart, Smith (Schmidt), Meier, Clark, Gilliland, Hale, Magnusson, Pettersson and many more.

In response to your message, I'm sorry but I have never heard of the folks you are searching for. There are no Rooks in my family tree. Did you by any chance post your message on the wrong site? Sorry I can't help.

Hi Connie. It was amazing to travel to Augusta County and tour the Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery! I have a much better digital camera now than I did when I took the original photo, so I plan on going back this fall and taking more photos. I'd also like to do a rubbing of the headstone. I'll post new photos after I come back from Virginia.

My husband's father is Gordon Null of Sand Springs, OK. Husband's grandfather is Gordon Lenord Null, great grandfather is Thomas Arthur Null who married Russia Sanders. Brad says he thinks he hears his dad mention you now and then but he can't be sure the Connie his father speaks of is you or another cousin Connie. And so it goes.
Where do you fit in the Sanders family?

Thank you for the family links, Connie!
Have a nice day, Lyn

I read your post and Jessie James maybe in Flordia? I married a Mims and his family is from Alabama and Flordia (Pensacola) and South Carolina.

Wish I could have found it - I was out there the day before and drove by that area but could not remember any of the photo requests. When I got home and looked them up and saw "Rose" I remembered I had seen them and was sure I could get a photo when I went back the next day. Was disappointed to see that they appear to be unmarked.

You are very welcome. Checking back with that person is a good idea, a few years with some of these very old stones can make the difference between being able to read them and not.
As I return to the cemetery I will keep the request list with me and continue to check. I have been surprised before. Best Wishes.

I am glad you like it! It's in amazingly great shape, except for sinking abit into the ground, for it's age. There were several other Beebee's in the same plot/area...a Sheridan, his wife Eva Dudley, and a Dick Dudley Beebee (who I'm assuming was their son, but not positive.) I added them to the cemetery Find A Grave site. There was also an Aleander, his wife and a daughter Isabel...do you know if they are Beebee's? Let me know if there are any other requests in this Malone area of northern NY. Take care, Laurie

Looks like someone already linked James to Mary.
