Bio and Links
Bio Photo I recently read on another bio, "our ancestors can't tell us where they are buried, we have to find them." So true. I'm so thankful to all the volunteers that have registered the graves in their areas. My personal goal is to help register graves in my area that will hopefully help others locate the final resting places of their loved ones.

Please remember that while FindAGrave is a great tool to use in genealogy research, the clear mission of FindAGrave is to register the graves. If you are new to FindAGrave, please click on the "Help with FindAGrave" menu selection and read the FAQ before starting.

Yellow daffodils I've placed on a memorial usually signifies a connection to me in some way.

I'm happy to transfer memorials within the FindAGrave guidelines found in the FAQ (and I'm somewhat flexible on that). To request a transfer, click the "Edit" tab on the top right of the memorial and then "Suggest a Correction" tab to send me a note requesting the transfer, indicate HOW you are related, and don't forget to provide your Member ID. I'll consider all requests, but you might want to consider building a Virtual Cemetery (see FAQ).

I'm also more than happy to provide links where the final disposition is known or add additional information. Again, click the "Edit" tab and "suggest a correction" to send this information.

A word about photos I've placed on memorials. I'll gladly give you permission to use my photos if you ask me, indicate that I have granted you permission, and provide a link to their FindAGrave memorial. I have found several of my photos posted in family trees on the web without my permission and without a source to FindAGrave. This is a copyright violation and poor research sourcing. Again, please just do the right thing and ask if you'd like to use anything I have posted on any of the FindAGrave memorials.

To all the volunteers that walk through long forgotten, overgrown, tick and snake infested cemeteries, taking photos of all gravestones (even broken or half buried ones), and create memorials, thank you. Those gravestones may disappear or become completely unreadable in the future. For your efforts in registering the graves, thank you for all you do.

Happy hunting!

Howard Lee Gray Sr. and Jr.
Hi,

I would like to request your permission to use your photographs of Howard Lee Gray Sr. and his son in my online family tree. I also believe you have taken more Gray family photos too. If you grant me your permission, I would credit your name for taking them and for the use of them.

Thanks so much,
Katie :)

We have another duplicate. This time I am sending you the request to move the pictures before I ask the other person to delete the duplicate.

RE: Charles Mack Unger
I am the same way. If some one lets me know I have duplicated a memorial I delete as soon as I can. It just happens sometimes.

RE: Cleo Lawson
We all make dupes, but some Find A Grave members won't remove their dupes even when notified. Find A Grave has a computer program that can search for and combine dupes, but it appears to me it's not a high priority for them. Plus, some burials are dupes but located in different cemeteries, some of which are the same.
