Since retirement, I have had lots of time to work on genealogy for my family and my husband's family. I enjoy visiting cemeteries and recording the burials to help others find their relatives.|
When requesting a transfer, please tell me how you are related to the individual. I'm not a stickler for the 4 generation rule, but I do like to know your connection to the person.
PLEASE DO NOT ADD DEATH CERTIFICATES TO MY MEMORIALS. There are family members who do not wish to have death certificates displayed. If you need a death cert, there are several places to look them up.

That's what I was afraid of. It's all the cross-linking in the find-a-grave database that is creating the problem.
And the problem is that Ethel Greenwade Mahan Sanders is linked with the wrong parents. I've written to the person who is managing that site already, but it's still not right.
Thank you for your patience. I'll try to get the Ethel Greenwade Mahan Sanders memorial corrected.

Oops. This is like herding cats :) I don't know whether the problem is that I'm communicating poorly (and if so, I apologize), or whether it's the squirrely links in the find-a-grave software.
Now Julia Winslett Greenwade McCown's parents are missing!
Julia's parents were:
Palmer Moses Greenwade - Memorial #6746202, and
Myra Lee Brown Greenwade-Baker - Memorial #51576238

We're not on the same page (I don't think).
Julia Greenwade McCown WAS the daughter of P. M. Greenwade and Myra Lee Brown. I.e., that is correct.
My most recent message dealt with a listed sibling.
Nena Greenwade Owen IS also a daughter of P.M. Greenwade and Myra Lee Brown, and sibling of Julia Greenwade McCown. So that is/was correct, as well.
Nena Greenwade McMahan Sanders IS NOT a daughter of P.M. Greenwade and Myra Lee Brown, or a sibling of Julia Greenwade McCown. That was incorrect.
I see, though, that her name has been removed, so it appears that all is well :)

Thanks Maggie for the changes to Lettitia Blalack, I didn't know how the memorial should read.
Also while I'm here, do you know why there are two headstones for George Cathey #14321570 at Bethel?
You have posted his memorial and I have posted the two headstone photos. They are located near the Newnam Well's area next to his grand daughter Jane Wells' grave. I have found out which one is George Barius Cathey Sr. and wondered if the other might be George Jr.?
Thanks again Maggie and thanks for all your Find A Grave work, it helps us all.

Thanks for the heads-up on the mistake in William's Bio. It's been taken care of. And I'm glad the information proved useful for you.

Yes, after finding him on F A G I sent his navy friend a link and told him the news that his friend had passed away.
I see his brother and father served in the service as well. His friend has a photo of Nolan in uniform with friends from 1963. Is there room for another photograph?

Thank you for the memorial on my great grandmother in Ridge Park Cemetery.

Thank you so much for doing that and for your kind words. I have been working on Ridge Park for a while. A bigger job than I thought it was going to be. Just a drop in the bucket compared to all the work you have put in there and so many others. At my age I have to really focus on what I'm doing or I get confused...LOL
I have so many family members buried in Ridge Park so I decided to do what I can. Didn't realize how large it was.
Thanks again, I appreciate it very much.
Have a blessed holiday weekend.

Roscoe Lindley Barrow. Thank you for the transfer of Roscoe! He and his wife are such dear people and relatives! Unfortunately, both are gone. We know he was waiting with open arms for Ruth's arrival! This is a great honor to have his Memorial trusted to me, and I humbly accept the gift! Thank you again, Maggie!!!
Thelma #47839191 Continued success in this great endeavor!
