Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I was born, we lived in Caldwell County, MO and now live in Daviess County, MO. I have lived in these two counties all my life, except for 7 years when I was a child and lived near Abilene, KS.
I have always enjoyed sitting at the table at family dinners and hearing the older people tell stories about people and times in the past.
I became involved in looking for my genealogy when I got a computer a few years ago. My grandparents are buried in Caldwell County and some of my great and great-great grandparents as well. Some of the names I am researching are LOONEY, SLOAN, FARR, GREEN on my side and HOOD, GARRISON, STORY, HARRIS on my husband's side.

Luther & Nellie Henry
Hi - I am looking for someone who might be descendant of either Luther & Nellie Henry or their daughter, Mettie M. Henry. I recently ran across several old postcards addressed to Miss Mettie Henry of Rayville, MO from Gertrude Rainwater, one from Charles Rainwater, one from Alice, one from Bonnie Simmons of Warrensburg, MO, one from Ethel Wilkerson and one from Clarence. All dated around 1912-1914. They are short but sweet notes and I would love to send them bac to a family member (no charge) - they just need to be treasured. Please let me know if there is anyone I could email or contact. Thanks. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to call: 317-489-1613 (Fishers, Indiana). My family has always saved postcards for years but I have no idea how these ended up in 'the shoebox'. Thanks, Linda (

RE: Earnest Stuck
Thank you, and yes you are correct. The Lena I was looking for is not Lena Farr.

RE: Amil Stitt
sounds good. I made this memorial not knowing that and I transfered it to #48573475 Shirley Ann Miller. I have been helping her out on her Stitt Family trying to locate Emanuel Stitts Parents. She told me his brother was Amil. So I don't know if she would want you to transfer to her or not. Or she could delete the memorial I made for her. Sorry for the mix up.

Earnest Stuck
Hello, Do you have any information about Earnest Stuck? He was my great grandfather and it seems he and Lena Green were married and lived in Montana. Earnest Stuck died in Yakima Wa, 1 Aug 1920. The 1920 census shows Earnest and Lena having two children, James and Chester. James was my grandfather and died in 1970. Was Lena their biological mother? I am thinking she is not due to the date of births. Do you know how Earnest died? The records are very scarce and our family history was never past along. Thank you for any information you may have.

Silas and Cora Armentrout
Hi Caryn, thanks for the information on Silas and Cora Armentrout's
burial location. Some family records, from the Peniston cousins in Daviess Co., show these two cemeteries as the Brown/Greenwood Cemetery. So it's not always easy to determine which one is correct.
Since your entries predate mine, if you would like to use my info to
update your entries for Silas and Cora, and add family connections,
I'd be glad then to link their 2 children to your entries and remove
mine. Just let me know.
