|Susan Chapman||Yandle connections|
I am researching a Yandle connection and wondered if you had any information to contribute. My great great grandmother Nancy Jaquess Steineger was the daughter of Gabriel Jaquess and Levica Yandle Jaquess. Gabriel filed a Marriage Bond in Roane County, Tennessee on April 6, 1829 after obtaining a license to marry Levina Yandle [On later census records I read the name as Levica]. The bond co-signer was Willis M Yandle. I found both Willis M Yandle and Gabriel Jaquess families in the 1830 census of Roane County. Willis M Yandle appears in the Roane County district 10 tax records of 1837 listed between James Yandle Sr and James Yandle Jr.
My first guess was that Levina/Levica was sister to Willis M., but the findagrave records you entered don't support that theory. The one for Willis M. stated that his parents were William Henry Yandle & Sarah Elizabeth Crump, married in 1807 in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, and another findagrave record, for William Henry Yandle lists 8 children including Willis M., but no Levica.
Any suggestions on the connection between Willis M. Yandle and Levina or Levica Yandle?

It has been my honor to fulfill your request for images of Stella M Jarrell's headstone.
She is next to the love of her life, Shaffer Jarrell. If you would like images of his headstone on his memorial (#162234087), I would be honored to fulfill that request too. Just submit a formal request as you did for Stella and I will do the rest.
Keep up the Good Work!!

Hi, was wondering if you're related to Stacy Wilson? He's my 2nd Great Grandfather, but I'm having trouble finding information on him.
|Linda Baird||James Yandell Tombstone|
Hello Julie, Wanted to let you know that I went to the Koons Cemetery today to find the Tombstone you wanted on James Yandell. Sorry to say I did not find one on him, there are Yandell's there but none with his name. Many sandstones & unmarked graves in this cemetery so I am sure one of them is his.
Have a Wonderful Evening!

I have already found a few in the Portales Cemetery who are not in the records JC has. So, when I walk the two remaining sections, I may find him. The other possibility is that he is in one of the unmarked spaces and the records of his burial were lost.
I have a few others similar to Algie's case I am still looking for too.
They just found one person by photos her son brought in showing the background landmarks and using those as reference points.

You put in a request for this individual.
I have been walking the Portales Cemetery for some time now, photographing the graves section by section. I only. have the two oldest sections left to work. Given Algie's dates of birth and death, he could be in one of those two sections.
To speed up fulfulling you request, I checked with the guy (JC) in charge of the cemetery today to see where Algie is buried. But JC has no record of Algie in their records. Do you have any more information on him?
Hopefully, I will get the two remaining areas worked in the next month and will know if he is there or not. It is possible he is in one of the graves that was never marked.
